Can't wait to watch when I get home. I try to remind people all of the time that while none of us may have actually been slaves, it all happened so recently that we still carry a world of after effects with us.

There's a reason why we're in this position we are in and it's not our fault.

You cannot erase 4-5 hundred years of mental and emotional conditioning , in just over 100 years of us being freed. That's barely a generation of separation from that era.

THIS!!! The thing is that WE dont realize it. We look at ourselves and our place in this country and think its OUR fault. The white man has done a masterful job at hiding his hands. Its almost like slavery and 500 years of oppression and conditioning (physically and mentally) never took place. They bury certain events (Black WallStreet for example) and alter history. We even celebrate the white mans' slaughter and oppression with their holidays. Its sad, but we must gain knowledge of not only our own history, but the white mans' history also. We must never forget who is responsible for our current plight

Not to mention the Jim Crow era. It is amazing that we don't fight harder for reparations. It is going to take some major work to uncondition us

The vehement push back from lost, ignorant, identity crisis having ass Black c00ns, and from whites, tends to keep it on the back shelf of America's priorities whenever a Black organization or leader even thinks about raising the issue.

i heard the fountain hughes audio a few months ago, i had to go hit the gym after listening to that.

i know most blacks find this horrid, sad and fukked up (which it is) and i cringe when listen to this shyt. on the other hand when i hear shyt like this, as a black man living in a city where blacks are damn near a minority, i use this as every day motivation. shyt like this always reminds me, were we as black folks came from and how much they fought for us to get where we are today.
