just watched the full interview.
He seems like the type that talked openly around everybody. He would have no problem telling you how he feels. So everyone in the NBA knew what kind of guy he is...they just jumped ship when the pressure got put on him...its the generation he was born in...he keeps it realer than a lot of people who fake it for you.
Im sure a lot of us have older family like this...gives two fukks.

There are black neighborhoods...but whose there to teach you about business and life...its Oprah and...?!?

Except he did spend a lot of that interview trying to be contrite and saying he was sorry, and he's an old fool, and he made a mistake. The whining on that man was extremely off-putting. How does a man like that get to be a billionaire when all he does is whine and blame other people for his problems and ask for forgiveness while not taking any responsibility for the things he wants forgiveness for?
I think the whole whining thing is a front, and that's how he lulls people in. Then he stabs them. He did Anderson Cooper -- an actual multi-generational WASP, not a crypto-Jew recent immigrant pseudo-WASP -- just like he did V.Stiviano. Anderson Cooper is not a gold digging ho on the come up needing to feel needed. And telling the man who stood down George Bush for what happened in Katrina as it happened while everyone else was ass-licking, and telling that man that he's more of a racist than you are... that's balls. But Donald Sterling did it anyway. He is NOT a befuddled old man. He is not suffering from dementia or losing his mind. Donald Tokowitz knows exactly what he's doing. He and his wife have been fake their whole lives. This is how they deal with shyt.
I'm re-looking at liquid's posts in the latter part of this thread and I'm wondering if there isn't method to his madness, in how it relates to what Donald Sterling is doing.

I don't know. Ol Tokowitz might be on that homoerotic tip. He didn't go to strip clubs and publically jerk one off to beautiful colored women. He bought himself a sports team and perved out on being able to walk into a locker room filled with naked men at any time and just drinking in all that deep chocolate musculature.
His wife is for show (and knows it, and doesn't care as long as the money is there). His hoes are for show. That team, though, that's for real, and that appears to be the only way to hurt him deep in his heart.
There's no way Magic releasing tapes could be the source of his contempt, if his contempt of Magic was on the very tapes being released, though. I don't trust Donald Sterling's recounting of events. Yeah, he could say all that about Magic, but I'm glad other Jews are coming out to back Magic and publically condemn Sterling for his comments towards Magic.

Yes, he's lying about there being no black community. Just because nikkas don't have billionaire money from giving each other reach around grant money (how are Jews going to give each other interest-free loans while being centuries-old infamous for engaging in the highest of high interest usury towards everyone else, by the way?) to act as slum lords, doesn't mean there isn't a black community.
The church, as corrupt as it is, is still active in the black community. The Divine Nine fraternity and sorority systems are still active in the black community. The prison system and 'how to navigate the welfare system and April 15th' system are also active, even if no one wants to talk about it. Black twitter exists for those affluent enough to have access to the internet.
The black community exists. But no, you're right, it's not like the Jew community. Nobody is like the Jew community. I think part of the fracturing of the black community has to do with assimilation having unintended results (or maye they are the intended results, just not by blacks). We can come together again. It will just take time.

He is bitter medicine for all Americans of every socioeconomic and racial background. I just hope people actually discuss the things he's talking about.
I hope people discuss how spineless the Clippers were in their reaction. I hope people discuss ways in which Black people can actually form a Black community similar to the economic safety net that exists for the Jewish community. I hope people discuss how we can stop the genocide that's taking place due to housing discrimination.
Basically, I hope we can look past the comedy and ignorance in the frankness of Sterling's words and take a hard look at ourselves and what we can do to make sure that people that have our best interests at heart are in positions to truly contribute to a better life for all of us, and not just a privileged few.
By the way, I've been to plenty of small businesses that were established with the help of Magic Johnson. Most of them were barber shops, but solid businesses nonetheless. Maybe we can get some grocery stores and community banks next. Or how about some business incubators in the hood.

there are enough well to do black people that can help each other out...but its not like that once you make it.
shyt, there is a thrift store around the corner from my house dedicated to the Jewish community...all the proceeds go to helping out Jews that are down on their luck.
Honestly...I dont think anyone that was black that tried to do anything like the Jews and Asians would be accepted by blacks. They would get called a c00n. Because the only thing we really need to do is become more business minded, stress education, and not hold on to those who arent trying (people who arent doing shyt in the hood/in and out of jail).
