Nannie Doss got around. She was found to have killed four husbands one in Alabama, one in North Carolina, one in Kansas and one in Oklahoma the last one, Samuel Doss, for whose murder she was eventually tried and convicted. And there are other purported victims as well. Nannie is also alleged to have killed her mother, two of her four daughters, a mother-in-law and other family members, either by her favorite form of homicide, prunes salted with rat arsenic, or through one or another spontaneous means of annihilation.

Arther Shawcross murdered 10-year-old Jake Blake. He lured the boy to some woods where he assaulted and strangled him. Four months later, he raped and killed an eight-year-old girl named Karen Ann Hill.

Arrested for these crimes, Shawcross confessed to both murders but was later able to obtain a plea bargain with the prosecutors. He would plead guilty to killing just Karen Ann Hill on a charge of manslaughter, instead of first-degree murder, and the charge of killing Jake Blake would be dropped. With little evidence to go on, prosecutors went along with this, and the self-confessed double child killer was given a 25-year sentence.

Shawcross served 15 years before he was released on parole in March 1987. Starting in March 1988, Shawcross began murdering prostitutes in the area, claiming 11 victims before his capture less than two years later.

This is the meat. And not just killed. He profited off the cycle of poverty and fear. I love dogs, and the dog fighting ring is atrocious and I wish Michael Vick had never been a part of it. But Liquid.. I don't know where he's coming from. Vick did the crime, then did the time. Sterling got away with white collar crimes and has never seen the inside of a jail cell, but instead of focusing on this being the culmination of a lifetime of destroying people (starting with divorce court) ....

He's not OJ, and gets the benefit of the doubt. White collar crimes. If he pulled a Baretta or a Phil Spector and got away with physically killing someone, it hasn't come out yet so no one can say he went there. Yet.
