Like I been saying these are some private comments this man said in his own home. His views may be fukked up but legally are they really gonna be able to strip him of property he owns and doesn't want to sell because he said something on the phone to his girlfriend that people don't like?

They're obviously gonna fight this in court. His problem is now that those comments are public knowledge the players and fans can handle the rest. He can't keep that team because people could refuse to sign or even retire if they wanted. Fans could refuse to go to games Sponsors could refuse to back the team. He's fighting a losing battle no matter what he does.

Its not that there won't be consequences for what he said it's that the avenues people are looking to bring those consequences about are questionable. His association with that team will tank it. He's better off selling it at a higher value then dragging it down to nothing first.

man, at this point, this topic is draining cause it has thoroughly pissed me off for so many reasons: the clipper players and coaches acting like bytch ass nikkas (shoutout to david banner)....the nerve of this bytch thinking she should still keep her ownership percentage of the team....the nba and media trying to brush this shyt aside as quickly as possible....the clipper players and coaches acting like p*ssy ass nikkas (shoutout to ray cash, bun b, ti)...people trying to justify what that vile piece of shyt said...people trying to justify the decision of the clipper players and coaches to play as soon as they could, despite what he said; they full of shyt (shoutout to future, jeezy, pastor troy, ti)....

..but as draining as this shyt is, i'm not gonna stop talking about this shyt....i'm gonna keep encouraging people to keep applying pressure to all those punk muthafukkas....and going through the thread, i see i got people riding with me, so it's all good....

c/s everything. :handshake:
smh @ doc rivers :scusthov:
Clippers were one of the emerging teams i wanted to do well this postseason just to keep the trend of consecutive new WCF winners (lakers, mavs, okc, spurs) but now i just be lookin at them like :stopitslime::usure::camby:. I don't follow the coverage moment for moment so maybe i missed the comments but i imagine the clippers players were told (or 'agreed' amongst themselves) not to speak on it? Similar to how dwight howard let it slip that rocket players weren't 'allowed' (:usure:) to speak their mind on it? LMAO or what? dwight gon get sent to his room w/o milk and cookies if he were to speak? they gon fine or suspend him? shiiiit.

It makes me further appreciate lebron and david west's immediate comments on it.

pop sh*t and apologize nukka ass sterling

Donald Sterling, the disgraced and banned owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, asked for forgiveness in his first sitdown interview since audio recordings of him making racist comments surfaced last month.

"I'm not a racist," Sterling told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an interview that will air Monday. "I made a terrible mistake. I'm here to apologize.

Sterling, who took over ownership of the Clippers in 1981, is the longest tenured owner in the NBA, but has been banned for life and fined $2.5 million by commissioner Adam Silver, and may be forced to relinquish ownership of the franchise.

"I'm a good member who made a mistake and I'm apologizing and I'm asking for forgiveness," Sterling told Cooper. "Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? It's a terrible mistake, and I'll never do it again."

Sterling's ability to remain owner of the Clippers rests in the hands of the NBA's other 29 owners, who are expected to vote on the matter. A 75-percent majority is needed to oust Sterling, in the interim, the league has made dikk Parsons the CEO of the franchise.

"If the owners feel I have another chance, then they'll give it to me," Sterling said.

When asked by Cooper why he waited until now to make his first public comments, Sterling said he's been "emotionally distraught."

"The reason it's hard for me, very hard for me, is that I'm wrong. I caused the problem. I don't know how to correct it," Sterling said.

The racist comments, which have been verified to be said by Sterling, affect a league that is predominantly African American.

On Sunday, Miami Heat star LeBron James said that he and most players don't want Donald Sterling or his estranged wife Shelly Sterling to remain league owners.

"As players, we want what's right and we don't feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team," James said.

Shelly Sterling has said that she plans to work to keep her ownership stake and is willing to go to court if necessary over the matter.

"I will fight that decision," she told ABC News' Barbara Walters in an interview.

The Sterling firestorm comes in the midst of the Clippers' best chance at making the NBA Finals in its history. Los Angeles is tied 2-2 with the Oklahoma City Thunder in their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinals series.

I'm black and what he said did not offend me, it's what every billionaire thinks. It's was not a racist comment more so an elitist attitude. He has a superiority complex. It's the same attitude that keeps CEO's, CFO's, COO's, presidents and etc from habitually mingling with entry level and more level employees. It may be phrased differently or never said but the feeling is, "I sign the checks." Ask Diddy or even LeBron. You can't because unless you have a certain title whether it be job or otherwise you really can't get an audience with them on a consistent basis but if the walks could talk you'd hear a lot of the same things from black people. Mr. Sterling did not disrespect anybody. He is an old sugardaddy who asked his arm candy not parade her affairs in his building. Unlike Tommy Hilfiger who blatantly said I don't make my clothes for black people. There is a big difference. That was personal but because she was under direst she played him and somebody has to take the fall. This was a modern day worth hunt and it is disgusting to see.
