Everyone that's celebrating this is being extremely short-sighted. Adam Silver and the NBA's PR team just salvaged one of the biggest potential meltdowns you'd have likely ever seen in your life. Name another time when athletes will ever be in a position to boycott with public opinion behind them? They had a chance to restructure the entire league and cause some serious debates over race and class in this country, and the Silver/the NBA understood this. None of this would have been possible had the players boycotted and started making their own demands.
