Once again, let me re-post what I wrote yesterday.
To separate the argument between "who's at fault" and "what can be done".
--------------------------------------------------------------
I don't believe the logic of "leave players out of this because it's not their fault that Sterling is a racist".
While it's definitely true, it goes beyond finding out who's at fault.
It's now proven that it is indeed Sterling on the tape and it's clear it's his bigoted ass that brought all this BS.
What I'm saying is this,
Did any of the players do anything wrong? No.
Are the players in a position where they can make an impact? Yes.
Like I posted earlier today, to whom much is given, much is expected.
And while it's sad that we can't expect the most privileged group (the owners) to act swiftly and responsibly, I at least expect the players, who are directly affected by all the distraction and at the same time have at least some degree of power to do something about it, to act on it whether it's their fault or not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Is it fair to the players? no. but I do believe the players have the leverage and power to pressure the league to make meaningful changes.
