Instead of the ire being directed at the ppl real power players, in the NBA...the team owners...

The problem with that is there's a lot of skepticism felt towards the owners because he's been enabled for decades now. The players had an opportunity to make a much bigger statement than they did, some people don't understand why they played. I can understand, but wow like I said this is the height of awkwardness.

I don't think the majority of ppl are thinkin' that deep or even realize Sterlings been at this for years.

I think ppl are doin' what they're used to; passin' responsibility on to ppl who really don't have power, but, they have more TV time.

Of course the ATL
Thess guys had all the support to sit out. You even had the 2 biggest players in the league kobe and lebron basically say they got their back so the Nba wouldnt have done anything to them. They had to be ones leading the charge though. Nobody can fight their battle for them. Instead of standing up for yourself like a man they chose to be cowards.

How are they cowards?

Basically. All of us have a part to play, just cuz the players are the focal point it doesn't mean we have no role in this either. I stopped watching the playoffs cuz it felt too awkward for me, plus I don't feel right showing any support to the product right now. It's not much but it's something, everyone has to respond to this type of an issue. Still tho, you can't help but to feel some kinda way knowing they played for this guy after this came out.

Also upsetting that so many people in the media, former players, etc. haven't given them more support in whatever way they have chosen to handle the situation.

Although its the Coli consensus that it wasn't a difficult situation/decision for them on how to handle the game Sunday, we aren't in their shoes and will never understand this from their perspective.

Doc & CP3 especially have caught ALOT of hate here - that shyt needs to stop

I'm not gonna judge, but a lot of "regular" folks HATE to see people who are in the position to take a stand seemingly do "nothing" but hold their tongue :yeshrug:

that's the perception in these streets I'm noticing.

I hate it their going through it too, but that's basically what it is. Had they boycotted I'm sure the other teams would have as well. Yes, they all want the championship, but not at the expense losing their competition. The playoffs could have been postponed, this. Sterling b*stard given the :camby: and everyone continue on to give one of the best playoffs we've seen in yrs. They could have all been champions in that respect. But decorations were made, its too late now. Hopefully Silver drops the hammer today cause if this turns out to be a slap on tje wrist a lot out there are finally gonna understand why people our frustration.

Mark Jewban saidyou can't just strip someone ownership of what they say in the privacy of their home:ehh: Had Stelynch said he was Hitler in the flesh:skip:, Jewban and the rest of the "owners" would have thrown the racist cac fossil in the bushes:birdman: with swiftness. And, business wouldn't be as kosher:ld:

Why do the mods feel the need to merge every thread into here? Some discussions should be had outside of the mammoth 6000 post thread

How many decent discussions have been thrown aside since this shyt went down? How is it constructive to just merge everything in here?

shyt is stupid

What blows my mind in all of this is that Sterling never said he didn't say it...

So why is the NBA "having to verify that the tape is authentic"

Sterling and his camp have said from the beginning that "the words on those tapes do not reflect my views and beliefs"

That is totally different from "I didn't say that"
