If they don't strip Donald Sterling of his ownership, I'm officially done with the NBA.

Especially how they demonize brothers for making dumb tweets & interviews. Tryna get dudes kicked out the league.

The NBA can't simply strip someone of their team. I would nice if it were that simple.....but it's not.

Don't you think the players WANT to play the game though? They aren't traditional employees.

By sitting out they be punishing themselves as much as Sterling. Sure the statement would be major, but it's unfair to expect them to make that kind of stand.

And worrying so much about their reaction is placing the focus on the story in the wrong place.
:manny: theyve made their money already during the regular season

CP3 and that team have an opportunity here to be this generations Tommie Smith and John Carlos...

Those brothas could of run the track and accepted their medals but they knew the only way to send a message is to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...

Just playing and depending on others to do the right thing (in this case 28 other white owners :beli:) ain't changing a damn thing...

I am more outraged at the reactions to the racist recording than the actual recording. So let me get this straight, Sterling is a documented racist but because of hearing the vile racism on the tapes we should now act brand new(NBA, players, fans etc..). The league and its owners should have already force Sterling out of the NBA.
It's the power of the media, most people had no idea what David Sterling was up to, now it's come to light and made major news. It can't be ignored now.

Michael Jordan's full quote.

"I look at this from two perspectives – as a current owner and a former player. As an owner, I’m obviously disgusted that a fellow team owner could hold such sickening and offensive views. I’m confident that Adam Silver will make a full investigation and take appropriate action quickly. As a former player, I’m completely outraged. There is no room in the NBA - or anywhere else - for "the kind of racism and hatred that Mr. Sterling allegedly expressed. I am appalled that this type of ignorance still exists within our country and at the highest levels of our sport. In a league where the majority of players are African-American, we cannot and and must not tolerate discrimination at any level.”

Mark Jackson

"Please don't think it's just the Clippers that are affected by these comments. It's affected us all. There are extremely successful people that feel the same way. That's a fact. By handling yourself with dignity and class, that's how you respond. Mark Jackson on boycotting: "No. You stand up here and you answer questions as an African-American man, and you sound intelligent."
