this is conjecture, simple and plain... the NBA is an institution that has protocol in place to deal with this situation and have made public that, that is exactly what they are doing right now...

There is no way Donald Sterling will own the Los Angeles Clippers at the start of next season, that's the reality of the situation if you take a step back and look at it, but you'd rather see a symbolic grandstand by players so they can solve this Donald Sterling created catastrophe.

My problem with people saying "The players should be the ones who boycott the game, and set sterling right!!" is that it is a direct parallel to people saying "Black people should be the ones who solve racism!!"

It just doesn't make sense to me.

I appreciate your points, and I get this is a message board, but there's really no need to debase what your saying with insults and statements on my character, you don't know me breh... and that shyt is corny and it breaks down the channels for us to even have a real conversation here with different view points.

You're making a very different case here than you were in the original post. I can appreciate this view much more than the one you were originally putting forward. And no, I don't believe black people should be the ones who "solve" racism...but we shouldn't be passive. I hate to bring up the Jews as a reference, and I know they're not a monolithic group of people, but their zero tolerance stance towards anti-semitism has been wildly successful. Why shouldn't a similar approach be taken by us?

And I apologize for attacking your character, but I'm passionate about this because I see younger folks (and I'm 26 :pachaha:) discounting the struggle...thinking it's all sweet...not seeing the connection between their opportunities for success and others'.

if there's no team, there's no money.......that's what
who said there wouldn't be a team? There was a team after we found out Sterling was a racist, a damn good team too, in fact, THIS team.

If you think a group of 450+ players are gonna boycott the Clippers, 15 of them will break and go "well it is LA :yeshrug:"

Not surprising because we been knew about his racist tendencies or whatever. I'm glad this is getting press but lol @ suspending him or fining him. What's even funnier is people thinking the players and or Doc will make a stand. You know black folks ain't built like that no more..they all fall to the dollar. Any black who continues to cheer the team on is a c00n though and I salute those who say fukk em find a new team..root for the Lakers.

Howard said he listened to half Sterling audio before turning it off. Rox players talking about NBA taking over Clips like it's that simple.

Along with anything we ever loved, and held treasured, because of the color of my dads skin. We lost everything and had to start over.

Hate the man all you want, show him no mercy if you must. But the players who put on that Jersey do it because the love basketball.

can players play with black patches over any clipper signige on their uniform?..

or even blacktees when there coming out ala fab 5

They should have any sleeves, shoes, undershirts, headbands, socks, or accessories be black. Maybe work something out with the Warriors where for the first two possessions of the game, they cross half-court and just freeze with their fists up until the shot clock runs out.

There are other ways to handle this appropriately without having to boycott the games

They could publicly shyt on Sterling, say they arent playing for him, playing for themselves and go out and win a title

Its easy for everyone sitting behind their computers to just say, "boycott".

Have some fukking perspective here :snoop:

This is the PERFECT opportunity for newly appointed comish Silver to step in and handle this before the players feel the need to put themselves in a tough spot

Of course its difficult to just boycott the games.

You just a small thinking fool if you think otherwise.

The problem with this is that you're placing your hopes in Silver who is a fellow rich jew. If Silver's actions aren't sufficient, then Sterling is effectively let off the hook. Sometimes you have to take a stand, I swear if there were more passive nikkas like this back in the 60's, things would still be segregated.:snoop:
