Whats good wit tuning brehs?

I am intruiged wit APR tuning but am clueless where to start

I had APR on one of my B5 S4's and it was great. They're a large company and know for reliability.

I had a Vast tune on my Stage III B5 S4 and that was great as well. They're out of business now I believe.

When I tune my B8.5 S4 I'll probably go with EPL because they're local

I think you had a B6 or B7? If that's the case I would get a tune from JHM they're in Cali too.

Just posting in this forum to say that even though I'm working my ass off and doing overtime regularly and managing 20 people while working on a project that makes millions daily, there is no fukking way on earth I can afford the entry-level Audi I want without going completely broke or taking a loan: the Audi A3 Sedan. If I am going to cop a car, I want to buy it. Or at least pay 50% and make payments on it and be done with that asap. I love cars and some of these Audis are amazing: the S4, the S5, the A6 and A7 of course. Actually one of my least favorites is the A8/RS8 - just never liked the design.

Will look at this post in 1 year and see if I am still misusing my talent or if I managed to turn my skills into serious money.

Gangsta to see you dudes copping Audis. I have to ask: how do y'all pay for basically very recent Audis?

Hows it looking

Saw this in person at a car show 2 weeks ago. Its definitely nice in person and has considerable power too. I may have my eyes set on this or the RS3 that's about to drop when I get tired of my SS(in a few years).

The only reason I'm even considering an Audi now (BMW owner) is because it offers a ton of tech for $50k and all of it can be had with a manual trans. A BMW 4 would be $70k with the same stuff, and some are not even offered:
-Audi virtual cockpit

-heads up display

-panoramic sunroof
-heated/cooled seats
-Quattro awd
-LED head/tail lights
-adjustable ambient lighting inside
-Google Maps-based navi
All can be had with manual in the 4cyl Prestige trim. Hate that they dropped the manual in the S5, but I'm ok with the 2.0T since I have a V8 now.
whats the performance of an Audi of comparable spec to a BMW?

Audis are generally slightly slower and handle slightly less well than BMWs when compared model to model. You probably won't notice it between the two, tho. The Quatto system is great, but the dynamics of having the engine hanging out in front of the front axle results in lots of understeer and push when cornering. RWD BMWs (50/50 weight distribution) will typically outhandle a comparable Audi (around 70/30 weight dist). Likewise, Quattro will give you max traction in the stoplight drags. Few can match what BMW does to extract power from small displacement. The N20 (now B46) turbo four found in a 328 (now 330) is rated at 258hp, but it has been dynoed at nearly that hp at the wheels completely stock...so in actuallity, it's making a bit more than 300hp. A competing Audi A4 with the corporate TSi 2.0 turbo 4 is rated at 252hp and that seems to be an accurate hp rating at the crank. The A4 hits 60 in about 5.4-5.6 (high torque, 8 speeds, and Quattro helps here) while the 328 has been clocked as low as 5.1 in a low option, lighter car. A4s typically run about equal with an 3 series to 60 otherwise. Couple other examples, S5 slower than 340i, RS5 about equal to M4. RS7 (600hp!+Quattro) slightly faster than M5 (~580hp).

I need to do a few more test drives but how would all of you compare the S3, S4, S5 and A6? My price point is mainly staying the same so years, mileage and trim would vary between the models. Looking at 2015 S3's and 2014 everything else mostly.

S4 and the S5 are fun to drive for different reasons but I prefer the S4 personally.
