you know whats funny to me

these artists know they should be paid but...never acknowledge the money spent on

videos
clothes
producers
writers
the advances that they take but if you don't sell you cant pay back
flights
concerts booked
promo spots

why is that :lupe:
What if you write and produce your own ish?

If someone pours 200k into you but pockets 25 million off you and you only touching 400k of that, that doesn't seem unfair?

You don't have to acknowledge that because that's being recouped off that top...and standard

The issue at hand is puff is reassiging publishing when they are at their lowest value and demanding a NDA as part of the transaction
Diddy had a label not the record company

All those contracts came from arista

That was the standard contract the same that was passed around

They could have not signed

Do it independently

A lot of them needed money and sold their publishing to him

I get it he black give it back for free

Yeah that’s smart business :pachaha:

Sheeit, they better take that deal and PRAY somebody might wanna use “Showstopper” in a commercial someday

That might be the difference between them retiring at Shady Acres or Mervyn’s Discount Rooms For Old Folks

No one said it wasn't business......Puff was just on the radio saying it was the "right" thing to do as opposed be truthful about his real motives

I get it that Puff may have been a ruthless biz man, but where's all the smoke for the other labels / label heads .... cuz their deals seemed to be the standard at the time.

The NDA and the disparaging comments clause makes it entirely not worth it for her.

She could get paid more for a 5 minute interview than $800 :mjlol:

I mean she could get just the Bad Boy artists and do a Netflix 2/3 part documentary and pull in at least 5-6 figures for her portion. :yeshrug:
