Yea I get what you saying but I guess I'm referring to the mindset alot of dudes have.

Dudes really be like "bu bu but why can't women ever approach men"

I don't think no man should ever EXPECT women to do the approaching or making the first move. That's not their role.

Even if you and a female chop it up frequently (work, school, etc) and you both are feeling each other, its ultimately up to YOU the man to make that first move. Most women aren't going to do it simply because their brains aren't programmed to pursue. Thsts the man's role. If that man doesn't open his mouth she's gonna assume he isn't interested and the next man who DOES open his mouth will reap the benefits

I'm not saying women shouldn't approach, but moreso no man should ever sit around waiting for it to happen.

You shouldn't have said u only dated black girls and came up with something else. I know a black bruh that stopped saying that because he was reported for racism. You could have said you had a girlfriend or speaking to a girls but I'll take you number though and leave it at that. Avoid her etc or just keep saying u got a girl. Cmon breh . This was all the way back in 2000 and I'd never been around white peoples like that so even tho the school had a decent black population it was still a culture shock. I've never been one to beat around the bush tho and can be pretty blunt sometimes. I don't regret what I told her tho because it was true. From that day forward I've trusted them even less

That's an interesting question. There was a time when I was a lot more interested in women who approached me, vs women I approached. If a woman approached me, I would be more curious and impressed, and she'd recognize it immediately. And perhaps that's because the women who would approach me were always VERY different from the women I approached. I'm a laid back, shy/reserved guy. The women I would usually pursue would have the "woman chilling alone at the bookstore" type vibe. Someone I can talk to for crazy amounts of time about a book, someone I can talk and feel comfortable around. Whereas the chicks who would approach me the most were more....in your face I guess. Extroverted usually, the types to drag me into doing things I wouldn't normally do, and I'd end up having fun. You know, shyt like that. So to me they were more of a challenge, whereas the girls I approached felt more like an extension of me...it's hard to explain lol.

(I've also had chicks approach me and say shyt like "I've never done this before and am nervous as fukk but I think you're cute and blah blah blah." Those chicks were more in the shy category like me, and it was such a strange scenario that I was impressed).

But now...I treat both the same. Had lots of fun, did lots of crazy things. I've disappointed women, I've had women disappoint me (whether they were extroverts or introverts). Now I'm just...open. No more pre-conceived notions or demands about shyt that doesn't really matter. I just wanna meet someone I can see myself with for a long time. Don't care if she approaches me, I approach her, whatever. I learned to stop expecting relationships to be built on mutual interests in hobbies or activities....sure you'll have fun but that shyt doesn't bring you together in the end. It's more about worldview, how you view things, how you treat people and want to be treated.

I'm not saying it's lame but, for me, approaching was like sunglasses...

It worked for others but I always felt I would be trying to hard to look cool by doing it. So, it never became part of my methods.

Now, at events, in school, engagements? It's a whole different world when you approach with a unifying lead in - e.i interests are already established because of the event "Hey, I saw your face turn up, I'm guessing we both disagreed with the speaker on mass incarceration, right? *Laughs - and things like that distinguish themselves from approaching a random woman with a fat ass on the street who clearly believes you approached every other woman the same way.
