Of course we know religion is made up, but they're making some REALLY dubious claims here that would need severe supporting.

You gotta remember, if you're roman, it MAKES SENSE (i'm not condoning it) to start killing off christians/jews back then.

Youve got a society thats pretty stable for the most part and you let your conquered people keep their own religions as long as they pay taxes.

Then you've got this group of people who not only have their own religion, but start to introduce and perpetuate the notion that not only is there a god, BUT theres only ONE GOD...AND no one else can believe it.

Thats kinda the problem.

These fervent believers were fukking up the balance for everyone else. They were like the modern muslims in secular european societies.

I don't know if jesus existed as all the evidence for his existence is (at this point) 100% hearsay. That includes Josephus' account.

IF jesus was a real person, he was nothing more than a flavor-of-the-month charismatic cult leader who died and whose followers took his shyt way too seriously.

Plus, when dude is on the cross, he doesn't sound like someone who is that faithful when he yells out "God why have you foresaken me?" Sounds like someone who knows his charade came to an abrupt end since he's not being saved or anything...LOL...not someone dude speaking in parables.
