Hands down the most outlandish statement ever posted on The Coli, and I like Slug.

you haven't listend to him enough if you find that statement outlandish, slug could compete with prime nas anyday. He has a far greater lyrical range and his flow is always on point, nas' flow faltered in the late 90s. Not to mention his in house producer always kept him laced. Jay Z doesn't even belong in the conversation

I think Ant is a pretty underrated producer too.

That is one of the best songs on there. And Flicker. I think with Southsiders they finally perfected the sound they have been going for on the last few albums. I thought Family Sign was unbearable.

I'm not sure what I think of the song yet but I really like the beat. Some joints on the album I really like, I like Mrs Interpret with the French singing, love the sound of that. Some really dope songs, yeah The Family Sign wasn't 1 of their better albums, though I did like If Only You Can Save Me Now a lot.

I've seen them a bunch when I used to see them in Chicago (btw brother Ali is an absolute monster live and his energy during his set is crazy).

They have a pretty good discography but also some lackluster albums that are a chore to listen to (later albums).
