I get what you are trying to say. But a license also provides a level of accountability. This veneer guy clearly does not have the skills and experience of a dentist. His customers have complained about pain, discomfort and rotting teeth. These customers now have to go to an actual dentist to fix his fukkups.

Yeah, it's a shame. He was likely out there fukking up. You can go to a licensed dentist and still get fukked and while you fight for your money back or a fix your sitting there with your mouth hurting. Legal liability. In this case all liability is on him, not a practice, not the state or city in which would have authorized him to do services. Hell one of the biggest hustles is for American doctors and dentists to go to Mexico and South America and render services for cash. And when shyt goes wrong, you think they get sued? There's no insurance.

a real dentist has went to dental school and has real medical training. there's no comparison to these fukking veneer tech scammers. on top of that, they have malpractice insurance just in case something goes catastrophically wrong.

I totally trust my dentist. and he is black and from the neighborhood. he even grew up with my homie's brother in the hood. that said, this nikka is legit and knows his shyt. he did my oldest daughter's braces and everything.

when I had a filling fall out, they put that shyt right back in no questions asked :salute:

@Wildin since you’re in here defending unlicensed practices, would you go to one yourself? It sounds like you have going by your comments.

Im not defending them. I don't have a dog in the fight. If you go to medical school and do everything but get a license, it doesn't mean you don't know don't have the knowledge or any of the skills you acquired during your education. A license is just permission to operate. If a doctor is a doctor for 20 years then decides not to renew any licenses to practice the knowledge and skill of practice isn't erased from his memory. If just means he doesn't have permission to operate. Anyone can learn to do something, a skill. He probably knows how to do veneers or whatever but like many other scammers or even licensed doctors and medical professionals that choose to work outside of their practice for cash only, he was just taking the short way/fast cash method.

That maybe the case, but do you think he knows what to do if something goes wrong or has the connections to steer people in the right direction if they do? You seem to be downplaying the severity of what he did and the potential long term repercussions behind it health wise.

I'm not downplaying anything. I really don't give a shyt. This isn't something new. I know this is some of y'all's first time ever hearing about this, so it's new to you. Like I said there are licensed and practicing doctors and dentists that routinely fly to Mexico and South America and perform operations, and work for cash only, no insurance. No refunds, no warranty. It's a great hustle.

If braces for your kid are $8500 but your dentist says, I can do it for $3000 cash...well you have a choice to make. And people have been making those choices since forever.

People operating without a license or outside of the scope of their license is not new. Whether in the states or our of the states.

We're all well aware that these things happen. It's a great hustle that comes with it's own risks and we see the long term effects of it when people are complaining about setbacks and health complications that have come from it. Not to mention what happens if you get caught doing it.

If people choose to do it, then that's on them and you're going to be hard pressed getting sympathy about it :yeshrug:

It is what it is. I don't find anything to be sympathetic about regarding how people choose to spend their money. If I go to the dealership and they say it's gonna cost you $3000 to fix the engine but I decide to fix it myself for $900 or go to someone who can fix it but they don't have any warranty and my insurance won't cover any damages or anything after the fact, that's on me. Ive gotta do what I've gotta do.
