Lol it would be them or these

My nana always had these, butterscotch, Dove chocolate and Lindor truffles on the coffee table. Whenever I would go over and visit her, she would almost always cook something for me, but upon entering the door, my eyes immediately darted to the coffee table to see if she had the strawberry candies.

It was always a disappointment when she didn't have any. I'd be like, "where are the strawberry candies?" :mjcry:She'd be like, "I have to get some more." :yeshrug:Then I'd be thinking to myself, :jbhmm:"who is eating these strawberry candies?"

It was me. :mjlol:

Miss you, Nana.

Atlanta is the modern black Seinfeld. Truly a show about nothing. I have no idea what the point was of this latest episode but I enjoyed every single second of it.

My eyes lit up when I heard Clay Davis voice. I recognize that voice anywhere. Did he play Earns dad in the first season? I don't even remember cause it's been so long. Maybe he did. He probably didn't stand out to me then cause I didn't know who Clay Davis was until I watched The Wire in 2020 (for the first time).

When Earns dad told him he wasn't helping him and to figure it out, I started cracking up cause my mom did that to me once. I called her up about some family stuff and she told me in so many words that she was taking the day off and to figure it out. :pachaha:

I love s4. It's miles ahead of s3 and we only 4 episodes in. I wish they would have stuck to this format in s3 instead of adding all the other stories that really had nothing to do with the show.

Yeah he played Earn's pops in The Big Bang, the series premiere. I agree with you: Season 4 feels like it should have been season 3. We see Earn working in Born 2 Die. We had Al contemplating his future as a rapper and doing what he thought he had to do to secure it, while still getting into Atlanta hijinks.

We got the introspection and the fukkery with classic Atlanta comedy, especially in this last episode. That wasn't really the case in season 3. I know they were leaving for tour at the end of season 2 but this season feels like it would have flowed perfectly from season 2. :yeshrug:

Atlanta is not a show about nothing however. Each season has had an overall theme that they’ve stated and explained publicly and the overall thesis of the show is to describe how it feels to be black in America

it wasnt about nothing this week tho.

in fact this one of the episodes that had more backstory as far as calling back old characters/actors than most.

it's about having a grandparent with dementia or Alzheimers and all the drama that comes with it.
