Sidenote, why does it seem like black people are the only ones who care about this type of shyt? I'll never understand this shyt :dwillhuh:
Outsiders are looked at funny anywhere especially if they're claiming to be from somewhere they're not :dwillhuh:

@Bashbarti @Nature's Fury did yall go to school with these dudes? I know some or all went to meadowcreek/give center/ Phoenix HS lol. They were the first rappers out of Gwinnett with a tangible CD lol. The single was catchy too

:russ:

My brother bought a CD from them in class to support them and but all I can remember is “don’t slip”. I know dude with the braids definitely went to meadowcreek lol.

Nah not to my recollection. We had a lot of lil rap cliques, so they were probably before my time there.

Been coming here since the 90's. Was a kid when I went to the 96 Olympics and moved here 10 years ago.

I've lived in South Fulton, Atlanta proper, College Park (off Old Nat and Godby), Marietta, Austell and Smyrna. I live down the road from the Braves stadium that she filmed the video (Truist Park).

The flow is dope even though it's literally ONE VERSE. I'm not bothered. When I'm out of town and people ask me where I live, I say Atlanta. But I guess she's talking about being FROM, but fukk all that. My daughter was born at Emory and I rep my hometown and ATL.

That shyt was a decent place for working class Blacks and some working class whites. Clayton County was actually nice in the early 90s. I never seen a place detriate so fast. It literally turned into shyt in like 8 years. Morrow at one time was a decent place for working class Blacks and then it fell apart. shyt happened so fast.

White flight is extremely real.

I live in Gwinnett so I don’t claim Atlanta at all. It’s too far out from the actual city.

Edit: Gwinnett is considered part of Metro Atlanta for those who do not understand.
I live in Gwinnett and say the ATL metro, but it's really not that far away IMO, I can be in Atlanta in not even 30 minutes

Being from Jersey and a transplant I don't really care to be honest but nikkas down here real sensitive about what you call Atlanta to the point I don't know what the fukk it is anymore :yeshrug:

I haven't been back there since I went to the Black bookstore. I did go back recently to see some fam. Where she lived was a nice little hidden gem and the cost was really low like 90k for some really nice shyt in a decent neighborhood. Better than paying half a milly but you now, the 500k in nice areas go up to 600k real quick

You gotta remember, I live in Houston now. I still got extreme love for the A and always will.
