see that's what im saying lol. There are way more. There are about six schools on the east side of Atlanta alone that are among the best in the STATE. Grady is overcrowded btw. I researched the shyt out of every school district within the city limits. My kids' school is in Zone 6 and it's in the top ten in the state bruh....the state. Do a little research. A lot of blacks are behind the ball on real estate and school trends and are stuck in this 90s mentality. just my 2 cents

I guess, did you ever go to an APS school? If you did maybe your viewpoint would change. My statement was from personal experience tho. I went to North Atlanta for a year, and NAH was supposed to be one of those upper tier APS schools and to be honest with you it was still pretty ratchet. That shyt was smack in the middle of Buckhead across the street from mansions and you had nikkas fighting every week up there. There were a few very smart white, Black and Asian kids who were in the IB magnet that pretty much carried the whole school in terms of test scores and shyt. The rest of the school was only concerned about the daily fashion show that was NAH and there were a some hood ass crews of nikkas from Bolton Rd/Defoors Ave, Hollywood Rd and the top part of Bankhead. Either way NAH was way overrated. After that I went to Washington and that shyt was just a complete zoo all the way around. I knew a lot of folks that went to Grady and it was the same thing up there, a few white kids from the Highlands and Midtown who carried the rest of the school test scores wise and then you had a bunch of white skater punk stoners and then a shyt load of hood ass 4th Ward nikkas. And Im guessing the school in the 6 you are talking about is in that Manyard Jackson High cluster. I have heard good things about those schools recently but I still have to wait and see because that is still basically the South Atlanta High cluster and I know that side has seen heavy gentrification but there are still some sketch ass pockets over there like Edgewood Manor and Kirkwood near Memorial Dr. So I would imagine its the same over there, a few white kids carrying the whole school. I dont live in the A anymore but I will move back once I have kids and I'm not sending them to APS, Im sending them to private school. And before I moved from the A I was renting a house in Renyoldstown right down the street from Coan and those kids would walk in front of my house everyday on the way home from school and they was all just regular little eastside hood nikkas. You say its changed but I disagree, those kids looked like the same hood zone 6 nikkas that used to go to Crim and SAH back when I was in school

i feel you and i respect your point of view. But didn't you list NAH as a good school initially. I'm from MD, so nah i didn't go to APS schools. I will just speak for my kids' school. White kids do NOT carry the test scores at all and the scores are always stellar across all grade levels. It's kinda fukked that we make these assumptions, even if there may be some truth to them. To each his own though. I was up NAH for my job one day. I walked in the bathroom and kids were in there shooting dice lol. And Buckhead isn't what it used to be either. All I'm saying is pay attention to the shifts and trends. Private school may not be necessary if you do your research before you buy. Peep the home values in Kirkwood, bruh. They are up about 50% from just three years ago.

NAH is one of the better APS schools overall compared to a Therrell or Southside, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that good IMO. And most of those kids aren't from Buckhead. I would say most of the Black kids NAH are from West Midtown, Defoors, or Hollywood or other parts of the city. Lot of people at NAH use fake addresses to go there. The folks who actually live in Buckhead send their kids to Westminsiter or Woodward usually. And I just don't have faith in APS. And it kills me to say that cuz I am proud as hell of where I came up but now as an adult I don't want my kids to go thru what I went thru. And the test cheating really left a bad taste in my mouth. They started that GA HS graduation test my 11th grade year and they gave us all the answers. Them nikkas stopped regular class around the end of April and put us all in the cafeteria and they just straight up made us study the cheat sheet for like a month straight. And it was just APS cuz by the time my 12th grade year rolled around we got hip to the game and we was selling the answer keys to folks we knew who went to school in Dekalb and Clayton cuz their teachers wasn't doing that. At the time I didn't care but now that I'm older I see how fukked up that was. It is what it is.

And Kirkwood is a cool ass area, you will see a huge return on your investment over there. To be honest I wanted to buy something in Cabbagetown but I couldn't afford it. That whole SE and NE Atlanta gentrification is amazing bruh, especially from how it was back in the day. I left the crib to go stack some money up but I will be back and I intend to get in on some of that Beltline action on the westside cuz it hasn't blown up yet how your side has.
