I haven't listened to 92.9 yet

I like Crump & JP more than Rude and Perry

Bell and Arch are cool guys I've met a few times

Stews were cool but shyt got old to me quick :manny:
JP and Crump was the best early drive show by far. I tried to listen to 680 this morning but Dimino kept talking over everyone and the shyt was just a bunch of arguing. They might as well fire finneran who is awful and just put Dimino back with steak for the 9am show.

David Pollack was fukking horrible (and I aint saying that because he was a mutt either). nikka is buns. Terrible sports insight, same old tried cliches everyone uses as well. He was only there because of his "looks" and his alma mater. Mufukka brought ZERO to the table when he was there. Mike Bell used to clown him all the time because of his stupidity.
Yep.I remember when he and Mike went down to the SEC media days one year.Paul Finebaum killed Pollack and Atlanta radio on air while sitting right beside them.Basically because Pollack was being a UGA hack.Went so hard he literally tried to bury him.Mike Bell started going off on Finebaum taking up for Pollack. And Pollack was like"Don't do that"Mike was like"I'm on your side you fukking idiot"lol. Now these 2 motherfukkers work together for ESPN,smh.I would have loved to see what that first meeting was like when they saw each other again.:mjlol:

Got to give it to him though he came out on top from working shythole Atlanta radio. :manny:

My best friend is cousins with the Stews. He grew up in Moncks Corner.
hahaha. I GUARANTEE his people know my people then.. Its a real small azz country town where everyone goes to the same schools, church's and bars...It's wild how so many successful people (like The Stews, Clarence Williams, Charlamagne Da God, Omar Brown, Andre Ellington) come from that little azz town..

I wouldn't doubt it. i think he's 2nd cousins with the Ellington crew too.

I grew up in North Charleston off of Dorchester Rd. until we moved when I was 12. I still go back, both of sides of my family are from there.

Ryan was one of the first former players to spearhead being part of that lawsuit against the NFL for concussions (Him and Jamal Lewis)..He became a plaintive against the league while he was an employee of ESPN (On the original First Take) and got both of them canned from that spot.. After that their syndication deal with Sporting News radio ended and they lost their national presence..Since then no major corporation in sports wants to hire someone that was involved with litigation with the almighty NFL...

Ehh kinda sorta. Ryan and Doug were fired for other things. Eric Allen and others that were among the first to file are still on ESPN. There are 5000 names on that list. To say they were blackballed for this is oversimplifying things

92.9 Morning show is just :snoop: :scusthov: :rudy:
Bailey and Cross aren't from ATL and basically have zero ties to the professional sports teams.
That signal tho :ohlawd: - I couldn't listen to 790 outside the perimeter.

Yeah I know Ryan had issues with alcohol and other things as well....But if you see in that link I posted Ryan was one of the first 4 that filed the federal lawsuit against the league.. Thats why I said he spearheaded it, the 5000 other names just jumped on at the class action phase and of course they aren't gonna black ball every man that ever played in the league and joined class action because there would be nobody left to hire..The "First 4" were viewed as the main catalysts...

I dont disagree 100% with you, it might have played a part, who knows.

yea, the thing about them is this. Ive known ryan probably going on 10 years, and Doug went to my alma matter......etc etc..

They were never employees of Espn, just contributors. They got into with Skip Bayless and a couple of people behind the scenes. They came back from Conn one time and was basically like "yeah umm we wont be invited back" and never were. As far as them being blackballed, it has more to do with their show being too black and too divisive to these cacs here. The demographics of talk radio are overwhelmingly white middle aged men and huge RACISTS. Thats why Goffs show and the stews eventually bombed out. The stews ratings were almost all black but yet they were getting killed by 680 because 680 follows the demo to a "T". Even tho Atl has a huge black population, most of that population is listening to V103, 107.9 or the various other black stations. Its hard to siphon off listeners. The amount of listeners brought in by the Stews would be x'd out by the amount turned off by their presence. All 3 of them idiots that got kicked off of 790 for the ALS thing have jobs for a reason.........

Yeah man.. Doug REALLY hated Skip Bayless in real life.. It wasn't no fake sh1t like they promote with Steven A. Him and Ryan wouldnb't even want to speak with him if they passed him in the hall..

So you went to school in Orangeburg huh?

:salute:

We gonna have to bring back the HBCUnit clique to the Coli like we had at the :hampster:

680 has no black personalities at all, hence why they are #1.

they got brandon leak as a back up (another former 790 employee) but 680 clearly has an agenda, its still the best station but the agenda is real
