It's okay. It's not what it was at first.
it was never that good, Mike bell as tuned stale as he usually does when they just let him riff, the rest of the lineup is okay if you have no choice but to listen to them

on 680 the agenda, Chuck and Chernoff was always a frat boy agenda show but the super saiyan with it now, plus I know they follow me on twitter or lurk this board because they keep stealing my/our shiet

Rude stands back and lets the Italians do what they want in the morning and Brandon Leak just there for the co-sign. That's fine I guess. I don't listen to Buck and kincade so I don't know what they do. Steak seems to be the promoter for white North Atlanta now even though he lives in Buckhead, guess he was too good for Brookhaven. He bashed Cam daily now and Matt ryan the best QB to ever play the game.

Hugh is a funny mutha fukka. :heh:

Kamla pretty cool.. Zeno has calmed down alot the past year he's tolerable now
You all talking about 92.9?

  • My favorite person on the station is Mike Bell by far.
  • Hugh has grown on me. Didnt care fr him much at first
  • Kamla and Michaels are a pretty good tandem. Funny as fukk. If it wasnt for Mike Bell they'd be the best show on the station
  • I listen to his show but Zino can be annoying. He sucks alone. They should put him and Hugh together because i cant stand Frekie with Hugh
  • I cant stand the "Chuck" dude that be on on the wekends

Mornings:

Hugh and Fricke. They've improved. Fricke is an old vet and is a strong host, can occasionally go into fanboy mode but his wide eyed fan boy wonder works with Hugh constantly bringing him back to Earth. Hugh has improved but still doesn't do enough to offer any real nuance or substance to anything outside of football. Hugh can be funny but he's still just an average host in the mornings

Midday:

Rick Kamla and Jon Michaels. They can be radio blowhards at time. They've been borderline unlistenable during this Falcons playoff run and have taken their schtick to another annoying level. They do have alotta fun on air and probably offer the best overall analysis with Kamla being on NBA TV and Michaels as the Falcons sideline reporter. Michaels Falcons victory songs are like a guilty pleasure, they're so bad they're good.

Afternoons:

Dukes and Bell. Probably the best chemistry between hosts and overall the best show on 92.9. Voted best sports talk radio show by Creative Loafing for 2016. You get great comedy from Mike Bell and good balance of humor, passion and sports talk from Dukes. They aren't the most analytical sports talk but they do a good job of getting guests on the show who are the experts to balance it out

Evenings:

Don't listen to Zinno

Didn't even know who Dusty Rhodes was but I feel like I love the man because of Mike Bell :laff:

Hugh needs a better host. I'm just tryna figure out what the hell he gonna do after football season. He has to do more studying of other sports and college football, to take him to the next level. He is funny but it won't last long in this market.

on 680 the agenda, Chuck and Chernoff was always a frat boy agenda show but the super saiyan with it now, plus I know they follow me on twitter or lurk this board because they keep stealing my/our shiet

:mjlol: @ 680 the agenda

Mornings:

Rude Awakening with Christopher Rude, Chris Dimino & Nick Cellini. I agree with you that Rude as the host has a passive aggressive style. He lets Dimino and Cellini lead the sports talk, interviews and discussion while he jumps in to act as a counter and smooth out the discussion if it gets off the rails. Great analysis, nuance and debate of the top sports topic of the day. Brandon Leak should be a bigger part of the discussions but too often doesn't join in

The Front Row with Steak Shapiro, Brian Finneran and Sandra Goldman. Show has worked towards better balance without it being a Steak Shapiro screamfeat for 3 hours. Finneran has definitely improved as a co-host and is able to effectively challenge Steak when he goes on his ill advised rants. Goldman has evolved and gotten more confident to express her opinion and can hold her own alongside Steak and Finn, but it's Steak who makes the show and it simply revolves around him, for better or worse.

Buck and Kincaid. If you wanna hear old, slightly out of touch white men sit and talk sports for 3 hours this is your show. There's a :mjpls: to this show that's impossible to shake. Just old and cranky with Buck Belue trying to lighten the mood every once in a while

Chuck and Chernoff. You nailed it with the frat boy feel. Even tho Chuck is near 50 and Chernoff is pushing 40, there's a youthful vibe to the show with skits like "Audio Grab bag"'where they point out hilarious on air mistakes from the station's hosts, "You're the A** hole" where they point out who was the biggest a$$hole in a variety of situations and "Chuck's Audio Farm" where they find a sound that Chuck made that sounds like an animal while on air :mjlol: Though some of their skits are juvenile, it's an entertaining show and they get great input from producers Carlos Medina and Brian Hoyt. It's the best radio show to me for the drive home b/c you get analysis and humor, sometimes at the same time

Only one I don't like is John Michaels, for what it's worth, his victory Monday song are okay
I only listen to Zinno when I'm doing some filing or some work around the house

I think I'm in the minority but I really miss the Mitch Evans' show (The overnight show)
even thought I strongly disagreed with his views on the Adrain Peterson situation

Fricke is decent. I think he does a great job setting Hugh up and he lets Hugh be the guy. I mean it's really Hugh's show and Fricke kinda lets him do him most of the time. To your point Hugh has gotta improve to have some sort of tangible understanding of sports outside of football. He's abysmal talking baseball and mediocre at best talking basketball
