If we talkin the Westside you talkin my language :blessed:

Yes Sir. Im from West Midtown, the white folks part of the westside. Grew up around drunk GA Tech frat boys and nerdy Koreans, with a front seat to all the nikka moves on the other side of Northside Dr in the Bluff and on Simpson. Im 30 so Techwood and Clark Howell was still up around my way when I was younger too. Used to hang on that Bankhead when I was in HS, running around Bowen Homes with my shirt off false clamming like I was from there. Got jumped on by some nikkas from Allen Temple at the train station who thought I was from there, and after that I had to let that shyt go. I wasnt about to lose my life or get fukked up for being on some lame shyt claiming a hood I wasnt even from

A salt truck won't do a damn thing when everyone leaves their job, school, etc. and evacuates all at once.

Also, show me any comparable metro area that has successfully salted MAJOR 6 lane highways in a matter of 2-3 hours (the time it took this shyt to freeze)

They only thing Kasim and the Mayor are wrong about is not shutting the state down, but they did that earlier this year and it was for naught. Lose-lose either way.
Dunnobody wait until the first flake falls to start salting the roads, Einstein. Salt trucks move out the night before it snows -- esp'ly if schol buses must roll out at 6 am. Traffic is sparse at night, so fling salt and across 6 lane highways at 3am.

Or don't. (._. ) Magical thinking could prevent Storm Leon from precipitating AT ALL?

There is a stereotype about blacks and cp time, but this is ridic. Night before the first flake, not 10+ hours after. >_< And if you prefer sheets of ice downtown, then cancel school and close down businesses.

West midtown is that deal nowadays, that part of the city is getting all the love nowadays...I grew up in Heritage Homes off Campbellton Rd, lived on the Eastside in Decatur til I was 15 & then moved to Cascade wit my Dad & step mom in Adams Park

They say the Westside, be the best side :blessed:

Damn. This thread made me realize how much I take salt trucks for granted up here.

I get irritated when they haven't salted the streets 30 minutes after it begins snowing.
yesterday was the first time in my life i had seen one actually salting (well, sanding) the road bruh. I'm from birmingham (in atl now) but last night i saw a group of cars following one like baby geese to it's mother bruh....crazy

edit: jovita moore got some nice big fukking tities :takedat:

That shyt happened over night too. I moved away for a minute and came back to the city and I was shocked when I got home. Hipster foodie spots everywhere, bad broads every where I turn, and white folks throwing up mid rises all over the place.

You from Heritage? We probably have crossed paths before and didn't even know it, I used to stay hooping at the Y over there back in the day. Got some homeboys from Willis Mill and Appletree too. That part of Campbellton hot as a fire cracker. When I was 19 I used to have a teal green '88 Box Chevy and I spent the night at this broads house over on Delowe and I woke up the next morning and that shyt was gone. The cops found it stripped down in Shamrock like a week later :snoop:

I ain't spend much time at Heritage, but I was in Adams Park for damn near a decade. I got my car broken into about 5-6 times, and the last time it happened my car got broken into twice in one wk :snoop: Still got love for the 4 tho, most of my family is on that side of town b/w Greenbriar, Cascade, East Point & the West End so I'm up thru there all the time even tho I don't stay there anymore

Aunty called my grandma crying last night because she didn't know where my uncle was. He was supposed to be home at like 7 and he didn't come home until like 1. :skip:

Is it really that bad out there?

I still love those cars. One day when I get a house with a garage I'm gonna get another one just to play with and pull out on some Sunday afternoon cruising shyt. Old Schools are real liabilities though. I had a '76 Grand Prix that broke down on my way to Dro Day at Welcome All one year, I pulled into some complex off Washington Rd, hopped in my homeboy car and left that bytch and never went back to get it. Had a '83 T-Type Regal that caught on fire while this dude was working on it. It didn't have the fuel injected Turbo 6, the guy I bought it from put a Chevy motor in it and I was having some carburetor work done on it and right when the dude was fiddling with it the engine back fired and that shyt went up in flames. Probably could have been saved but AFD took they damn time to show up.

I love the 4. I always felt like that was my second home. You pretty much see life from all sides of the fence. Bad hoes on Cascade, hood nikkas on Campbellton, militant nikkas in the West End.

All this really proves is we're all fukked if a drastic climate change happens.

NYC with Miami weather year round wouldn't be a good look for the power grid, ac running year round would be a wrap. The South with snow...

Never thought about it like that :ehh:

if everyone who is stuck on the highway got out of their cars and started scraping the ice away around their car then the whole highway would be good to go in 20 minutes.
