My people told me that Bessemer is pretty good. People were driving around pretty good today. The streets cleared up a little but the wet spots are going to freeze up again. I'm headed to work tomorrow myself so all in all you should be good. So if you got business in Bessemer you should be able to get there an back no problem.

The longest relevant LSA thread says that abandoned cars are being towed to chop shops or are being stolen by car thieves. Tow companies are price gauging, too.

Tow Companies aren't allowed to impound, only to move the car to the side of the road, if they do impound it, fees are waived, but they have until midnight Friday to pick them up.
I don't know if car thieves are walking on the highway just to steal cars, doesn't seem plausible.

Mayor Reed said there are more cops on the streets and most cars that are on the streets have yellow police tape on them that cops have placed on them to make sure they are secure...I also doubt people trying to seriously jack cars, but I guess anything is possible in situations like this
