Tradition isnt progressive. Just because you always did something, it doesn't follow you must always do it. If a person can live a sound life and understand their role in society and how they fit in then this isn't an issue for them.

Hey we never needed medicine before and lived thousand of years without it so why take it now? This is the same logic you've used OP. I can apply this to other things too. Hey we shyt in the woods and didn't wipe our ass without Toliet paper. Why do it now?

They've been saying the same thing for a couple thousand years, breh. Not happening.
Not happening? So this trend of young people being less religious than theprevious generation is an illusion? For the first time in human history you can actually say you don't believe in God without getting tortured and murdered, we're just getting started bro. Agnosticism and atheism is the natural intellectual evolution of humans. science and access to information will cleanse our planet of these illogical detrimental religious beliefs. Note that believing in a "higher power" (whatever that means) doesn't require religion. Man made religions are a joke and are only still around through the indoctrination of children. Religions have become their own organism, fighting until it's last breath to ensure its own survival through brainwashing and shackling our young children's promising minds with chains.

Honestly i agree.

fukk organized religion.

But i recently had a spiritual awakening. If you truly believe that god doesn't exist you must have a truly sad life.

For so long i been holding grudges and just poisoning my life with negative thoughts. Always tryna get over. Always about me me me me me. Having to remind myself to hate cacs and shyt.

Better to just let go of all those negative feelings. Focus on the positive. Let god into your heart and life is just so much better. It sounds corny but i truly believe now.

And most strictly religious people aren't practicing what they preach.
Its not sad at all.
You were a bitter person, who just happened to "discover" "spiritualism."
The only thing that changed about my life was that I no longer believed in fairy tales.
I still spend time thinking, working on current problems of life. Philosophy isn't interesting, as are the hard sciences.
You don't need religion if you have your life together and aren't a sociopath.

Thats like, your opinion. Like i said you probably live a pretty sad existence which would explain why you feel that way. Not gonna try to sit here and explain it to you when you don't believe. Cuz when people tried to explain it to me i scoffed at them.

God exists. Even if only in our actions. Life is proof of that.

Your view is only on America. The rest of the world, as it becomes more technologically/economically advanced, is becoming MORE religious which is the direct opposite of what was thought to occur.

Nothing is stopping religion.
