at what point do you think he became conscious of his own "tarantino-isms" and decided to shoehorn them in to all of his movies thereafter whether it fit or not?

Legendary critic Armond White has kind of convinced me recently that Tarantino is an autistic hack rather than a genius. The only movie of his that has any kind of humanity and non-repitilian feel from it (from what I remember) is Jackie Brown. T

he rest of his movies, especially lately, might just be a lot of violence with an air of "art" to them to impress the teenage CACS on IMDB who crave both extreme violence (to satsify their reptilian tendencies) and some air of "art" so as to justify their idea of being intellectually superior to most people.

death proof

instead of him payin' homage as he usually claims to with his movies, he was kissin' his own ass with that movie because the movie sucked and it was just a diarrhea flow of his dialogue :camby:

with inglorious b*stards it was clear that his run was over and he was just repeatin' himself :francis:

He's definitely lost something to me since 'Death Proof', which had it's flaws, but was funny, and gory, and entertaining, and felt like a real movie....."Inglorious' and 'Django' both felt like parody almost.....I will see 'Hateful 8', maybe even first day, but he's very much a shell of a the guy who made 'Pulp Fiction', and the other classics, for as violent and funny as they were, they felt like real characters, his post 2007 work lacks that feeling of authenticity, feels like going through the motions, nevertheless they remain entertaining.

django was his worst film, easily.

death proof was weird..

that movie probably had the biggest 180 turn (from classic to trash) since 'sunshine'

the story with the first group of girls was awesome. dialogue was snappy, music choices were perfect. kurt was awesome, and the crash was very memorable

and then the second group of girls comes it...:dahell: easily the WOAT tarantino characters i've seen. the dialogue falls off and gets annoying, and they ruin kurt russell's character. it was like what the fukk happend :what: the second half was just bizarre as hell

if death proof had been a 30 minute short film that ended at the crash it probably would've been my favorite tarantino flick
