At what age did you move out?

Went to college at 18, so then. I went back a few times here and there over breaks from school or like a couple months after I graduated to save a little money.. but for the most part, I've been gone since 18

22. Right after graduation. Pops was subliminally hitting me with the "I am the man of this house and I don't care if you will make more money than me" type shyt.

Yeah, pops was kind of a hater. Still had love for him as I packed.

I'm 21 bout to graduate next year, I've been thinking a lot about moving out but my parents would be devastated. My parents are traditional Africans that see moving out before getting married as sort of like abandoning them (if not for good reason like work interstate, study etc). I pay no bills or anything so it's not too bad

Island Parents are the same way..especially for the girls, they don't believe in moving out until you are about to get married..I know my little sis isn't having that shyt though

moved out at 23 and moved back at 24 which was a couple months ago. had a one year contract and couldn't find nothing new.

I ain't mad though, saving up money as I got one year in college left. So I'll probably leave home at 25 to buy my own crib.

17 for college. Permanently at 22 when I started grad school. I'm 27 now.

Not mad at people who live at home to save money though. I had friends in my first Masters program who were 25, living with parents, working and commuting to grad school at night. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm also not gonna say I moved out at 22 and PAID everything by myself. My first year living out on my own and going to grad school, my parents paid my phone and cable. Nothing wrong with that either.

Now if you're living at home, NOT working, and just smoking weed and shyt, you need to get it together.
