Society changed. There is less pressure on young people stepping up on anything nowadays. Back in the day, you were hard pressed into seeing people past 23 in college. Now you see 30+ year old students attending undergrad parties. That goes for rappers too. Society is much more relaxed and not on a super tense mode like it was 20 years ago with the Rodney King riots, crack epidemic, and black-on-black crime.
