Nah. Drizzy’s original target demographic back in the day was millennials such as myself. He makes music for both us and to some extent Gen Zers and the Zoomers do be checking for dude but not as heavily as we did. Tbh, Drake is pretty much late 90’s to mid 2000’s era LL Cool J status as far as Zoomers are concerned. They respect his legacy and will check for his music at times but they don’t get as hyped over him as they do Travis Scott, Playboy Carti, Post Malone, Megan, Doja Cat, XXXtentacion (RIP), Juice WRLD (RIP), or NBA Youngboy. Drizzy is damn near “old school” status to them, and they view Kendrick, Cole, Nicki Minaj, Weezy, A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, Rozay, etc. the same way too.
Hip Hop has always been a young person's world. Crazy to see it happen so fast.

This dude's popularity is starting to make sense to me considering the demographics/age group I see at his concerts. A huge portion are teenagers & non-blacks :ohhh: with the Kardashian/Nike/McDonald's boost I understand now.

Not gonna front like I don't mess with a few tracks/features of Travis but his music simply isn't that good to warrant his amount of fans. The machine is attached to him.

I love how when when white kids break the law and cause havoc, it’s no big deal or someone else’s fault.
:mjpls:

These people took drugs, spazzed out and rushed security causing a stampede and trampled people but “someone else is to blame”. There is no one to blame but themselves.
:yeshrug:
Without drugs this was a nightmare waiting to happen. Festivals have a lot of injuries because of crowds, lax security, and poor planning. And people will always find a way to get drugs into events. I know someone who can get coke on cruise ships and we still haven’t figured out how she’s smuggled other drugs and big things of liquor on board when we travel. I somewhat blame festival goers for not looking out for their own safety, it’s not worth it to be at the front of the stage. And festival planners always hand out a bunch of comp passes and let people in after the fact, that’s an easy way to get drugs in and up your body count by a few hundred or a thousand people. The artists have people sneak things in and their entourages are known for selling passes and drugs. The security fukked up, the landowners are really about to screwed. All events at NRG stadium are about to go way up in price to cover the lawsuits and for them to pay higher insurance rates.

His rise to superstardom since Astroworld has been crazy to see. I'm like :what: is this the same dude known for using ghostwriters, jacking beats, taking dudes swag lol?

He's definitely capitalized on that whole Cudi/Future alt rap-singer wave to new heights but now when I literally see his demographic it makes sense. Him becoming more popular than A$AP Rocky still shocks me but is less surprising considering the direction of hip-hop.

Am I the only one that sees a dude shoulder checking random people in that second tweet?:dwillhuh:
A nikka sitting on the side tryna’ trip people and shyt.:gucci:
He’s security and these people are breaking into the venue and backstage. That’s his job. Now some of those cacs are dead for starting a stampede and somehow it’s the artist fault that they broke in, high as shyt and got folks killed.

The artist and venue will be responsible for providing inadequate security. I think the concert goers should have used more common sense but people go crazy at these events. Security should have handled the entrances better for the first stampede. When they saw how manic the crowd was they could have called in More security or off duty officers to get there within an hour. Live Nation (AEG?) doesn’t want this on their hands so they’re going to blame Travis and his management team, they’re going to blame the facility. Someone cut some corners to save money and it always shows.

shyt is sad. I HATE festivals due to how cramped it is, being out in the elements, no assigned seating, etc…you’re pretty much stuck in a sea full of crazies. i went to like three in my life with the last one being like eight years ago. Travis ain’t shyt though lol..that video was terrible. Dude constantly rubbing face on some fake pain shyt.
