It was aight.. I got it at launch at it had tonnes of bugs.. but it uses a portrait screen meaning old games won’t run properly on it (upside down) had to return it

They fixed most of the bugs.. but it’s too large

You don't want the low powered version, the rog ally extreme is the one you want, a hundred dollars more

For your intentions emulation, steam deck can emulate up to PS3, but the rog ally is better at it with more powerful hardware.
You can pick a third party dock for the ally on Amazon.
The major issue with ally is the battery life and the older models can destroy your sed card.

So, if you want best experience for emulation go with the rog ally or legion go.

After a long break with my Ally, I updated to the latest Armoury Crate (that shyt does take mad long) but its working perfect. I love playing NBA Street Vol 2 and PS3 games on this thing

Had to sell my ROG. But on the real, the blue screens and weird crashes have been surging like a mofo. Meanwhile the Steam Deck still hold it down despite the Proton babble.

I haven't had a single BSOD on my ROG since I purchased it. Not one. Stop downloading all that porn.

Anyone try a 2280 drive with adapter? You can get up to 4tb .. I’m reading up on it on Reddit. I think I’m cool with 2tb.

Keep in mind they also have the m.2 mod that you can install in order to drop the physically larger drives in there. Just in case you find a better deal.
