If you want other companies to work on other IP's that's fine as long as it's not a broken mess like LBP 3.

Just because you want the IP to live on doesn't mean you have to cosign shyt releases. Just like the Twisted Metal on the PS3. shyt was another broken mess. Both releases nailed the coffin for both IPs

I'll throw Killzone Shadow Fall in with them. All terrible releases that killed off the IPs

Thats the problem with hiring 3rd party companies To try and carry the legacy of an IP, same with Sly Cooper. Sometimes it’s best to just let shyt die, but fans insist that companies are doing wrong by letting those IP rot away. It’s a lose lose unless one of those external studios really have a passion for the thing they’re doing. The Lego Horizon game looks like its gonna be at least decent but its a completely different style game, not trying to mimic what Guerrilla does.

Also, the thing with Twisted Metal is that is an IP that never really had a home. It’s been passed around to multiple studios, its why each game has different fanbases

Speaking to Edge Magazine in its 400th Issue, which features a whopping ten unique covers with different cosplaying Astro Bots on each, creative director Nicholas Doucet said the team "did consider, at first: should this be an open-world game?" The only reason that Astro Bot eventually "went for a level-based approach" was "because that was the one that gave us the most control over the game's variety."
