I have never seen a company straight up refuse to give into what their fans want as much as Ubisoft and AC, people have literally been asking for Japan for a decade now lol

I wouldn’t mind Japan but something I always respected about AC is that US chooses interesting settings not a lot of games go to. I can’t think of many action games that take place in Egypt, The Renaissance, etc. This viking shyt is getting away from that though.

Idk, AC's pretty fantastical but I'd consider GoW way more fantasy than reality and I think that's what will set them apart.

The setting and title will lead people to compare the two games even if it’s not intentional. That’s why I question their decision to go the Vikings route.

I enjoyed the last two AC's but I do wish they can go back and focus more on Assassins rather than Mythology. Last two games have been a hit with the public though, a lot of dedicated fans want them to go back.
