Insider Gaming leak from few weeks ago said that there will be Battle Pass system.

'The Exchange' will be the item shop, offering players the opportunity to purchase daily and weekly in-game cosmetics for Red's two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. In addition to The Exchange, Infinity also has a 'Synchronisation' feature that allows the player to access 'Projects' for each protagonist. To explain them in their simplest form, Projects are mini 'battle passes' with a narrative behind them offering players the ability to earn cosmetic rewards. Projects will be added throughout Infinity constantly, focusing mainly on DLC and new game releases, or even as a means of sustaining player interest during a lack of any new content.

Why? They literally have COUNTLESS ninja, samurai, anime, manga, otaku, esekai, yada yada, etc games

It's never about representation when it comes to any group. It's about black faces not being represented in their video games outside of villains or support characters. If it only featured an Asian female or a white male in place of Yasuke, they wouldn't protest. This guy is the/a main character & that simply isn't supposed to happen.

Nor the game Nioh, which is a video game based on a historical white samurai, William Adams, in Japan. Funny thing is William Adams didnt arrive until after the warring states period so his title was just a formality as he saw no real combat.

People complaining are just mad they put a black person in the game tbh. Plenty of samurai video games for them to choose from and the AC franchise has been hit or miss lately. Honestly Ghost of Tsushima did what AC shouldve done years ago so the “anger” is just pure artificial and rage bait.
