Never been to a steakhouse worth it’s salt that serves it steak toppled atop the sides. Typically, the steak is served alone because it’s the main course and the main focus. Sides are served on separate plates.

It ruins the taste and flavor of the meat. Also, tenderness is an important attribute of a good steak. Well done steaks end up flavorless and chewy like beef jerky.

The thing about most $200 meals is that the food is outstanding. Once you've had a $60, $70, $80 steak everything else becomes pedestrian.

When you first pierce the vail to go from Denny's/Norm's/Waffle House to Outback you're like:

Then you find the local famous steakhouse in whatever town you're at for the night and you're like:
