Race is a limited way to look at people. I just see with my eyes who identifies themselves as jewish and i notice i can usually tell who they are just by looking at them. They usually do not look indian or black or anglo to me.

To be specific, at its root, it's a historically ethno-religious group. That there are both new converts as well as ancient descendants amongst other non-typically "Jewish" groups doesn't change that.
