What people fail to realize is that even though certain groups may appear to be overrepresented at these colleges they still have to adhere to the system of white supremacy in the workforce.

Most of the uber-weathly, upper-management positions of fortune 500 companies are staffed by white people, all 10% of those positions.

I work in corporate finance. Most Asians do a lot of analyst, or even senior analyst jobs. Maybe IT.

Asian people have been noted of that and still defend the system (white supremacy) like absolute idiots. More than 50% of Tech companies have an Asian majority yet only 10% of them make it to the executive- level.

If they want their admission spots, go to white folks, especially white women. They have your spots.

By your logic when white people rally to support Trump based on racism and ignorance it’s “good on them.” Unity in and of itself is not a good if what you’re unifying around is morally wrong. So basically every group should just advocate for the better of themselves and the disadvantage of others? That’s something to be proud of? How far do you want to go with that? Should black people who don’t have American born parents only advocate for other Africans ,Jamaicans, etc? I’m all for helping ones group but contributing to the subjugation of another is something different entirely.

This is why a society based purely on a meritocracy will always be flawed. In theory it makes sense, but its real world application will always benefit a select few if other social inequalities continue to exist, and is never addressed.

I'm reading some of the comments here and there and I'm like.. so black folks had to contend with 400 years of laws explicitly denying us the benefits of citizenship in the country of our birth. We get a bill that was supposedly created with the intention of closing the wealth gap through education among other things yet.. other folks besides black people get to use it.. even more so than black people themselves..

The people that dapped him up were the "both sides are bad" so don't vote people. They fail to realize that Caltech has like 10 black people in their whole class. Schools like Caltech and UC Berkley are pipelines to these tech companies in Silicon valley and other parts of California. There's a reson why California has the largest GDP in America, its because of the tech sector. Black people aren't benefiting from the productivity caused by the tech sector so we missing out. Prop 16 would remedy that yet you got cats in here talking about "who cares"

It's flawed because meritocracy implies that people don't get hired via connections. meritocracy doesn't exist . If you trying to get an internship you pretty much gotta know someone (referral).
