Atem had the ability to will the exact card he needed to the top of his deck. Did that in almost every big duel. Against Kaiba with Exodia, Bakura with Osiris, Malik with the Demon Sanctuary token, against Yugi all throughout the last duel. Of course he won all the time.
Meanwhile, Ash kept getting fukked over. I remember he had to go against a dude using two legendaries in one of the leagues he fought in.
