And yet here you are STILL going back and forth on a topic you keep saying you're done with.

Obviously you care about reputation points on a message board because you're irritated enough to keep an argument going that you pump fake on leaving on a late night

You don't like the -5? Do something about it.

The defenses certainly helped but end of the day Tom Brady put them in positions to win as well. I def agree Bill needs to be revisited and if not for Brady there's no way he would have lasted the entire time in NE. Which is why he won't retire btw. He has to prove he can do this with another QB. Unfortunately for him the AFC has evolved to a point where defenses cannot keep up with Josh Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, etc. Good luck Bill.

Yeah, pretty much. They were so good for so long with Tom even with minimal talent that they weren’t in a position to re-stock with high end talent in skill positions but everyone else did. Let me not even say that, they drafted badly at those positions.

I hate this argument. I agree, at the beginning of his career, he did not have the OFFENSIVE talent around him, but he had top defenses.

What was Moss? Welker? Hernandez? Gronk?

You can't have elite talent everywhere in a salary cap era.

People said he had no help on offense, and they got Moss and Welker. They then said he has no defensive help, and they go get Revis, and then Gilmore years later.

What did people want Bill to do?

A lot of these dudes really think Brady won all those SBs on his own :dead:

Always had a good OL, receivers who got open (even if there weren't superstars), and a defense that was always in top in giving up least amount of points per game.

People forget, those first 3 SB Brady never made any All Pro teams. It was always the Pats defensive players making the AP teams.

Brady is GOAT but football isn't basketball. shyt, even in basketball you hear shyt like "Lebron needs help" :russ:

Bro I’m talking about towards the end of Brady’s tenure into right now. The Patriots would do shyt like have Brady have a rapport with Brandin Cooks and then trade him. There was a long period post-Hernandez of just filtering in different players every year. The Patriots tried to address this in the draft and were never successful outside of Malcolm Mitchell who sadly got injured. They only were able to surround Brady with weapons through free agency and players on discounts sans Gronk and even Gronk and Hernandez were first round players that they got because of injury and characters issues. They would’ve never moved up to draft them and would’ve fukked up the pick on whoever was at those spots because they always do when it comes to offensive skill players.

My point was that because Brady could make due on offense with a cast of characters who would not be stars anywhere else and because the defense was solid, they were never had a bad enough position to just land a sure-fire guy. And I thought last year would’ve been the time to do that and they should have traded up to get one of the top 3 WRs and just signed a stop gap at QB. I was never and still am not big on Mac.
