Either way, Feige has said several times now that the one thing they want to emphasize is the high school aspect and those stories along with the personality and comedian nature...Tobey couldn't land a joke to save his life in those movies. Andrew got close so hopefully the next guy can do the same

Not exactly sure how much control Marvel has over Spidey now but everything (pressure) seems to be on them. When thr dust settles this is the Marvel Spidey outing fans have been begging for. Plus mickie mouse and sony most def want the possible harry potter fame and money that could come with hitting the sweet spot of appealing to kids, casuals and comic fans alike by nailing this incarnation one of the most recognizable comic characters not wearing a cape.
Yeah it'll be an interesting behind the scenes feature on the blu ray for real. Just the amount of politics and jockeying. Clearly Feige is the big dog right now so I'd assume whatever he says goes even though Sony still has final approval.. But then there are rumors that state that that final approval isn't all its cracked up to be so I agree with you that it's mostly on their shoulders right now (Marvel/Disney). I just wish I liked their director choices more but maybe there's someone on the list who wasn't on the announced shortlist

The kid with glasses looks like a nerdy Parker to me. 
Can't really talk about his acting though, never saw Ender's Game, he was alright in Hugo and the less said about the atrocity known as The Boy In The Striped Payamas, the better.
