When one of their many live sports properties ain't on, ESPN ratings are hurting. That's why there's the SVP 11pm sports center and SC6 who basically make their segments all social media friendly. I think espn sending a crew to Mania and summerslam, and doing the weekly interview is a precursor to WWE possibly joining. Just like WWE has had to redefine what it is over the years, ESPN to do the same. FS1 gave Skip Bayless a $25 M deal only for him to get 0.0 ratings in some markets. They're desperate
ESPN is also cutting cost and firing people like crazy because they spent way too much money on live content. I don't see them offering WWE a better deal than whatever USA might throw at them.
