Pac released 4 albums while alive (2 when Hip Hop was really starting to take off). 1 with all new material after he died, and 6 albums full of all recycled material/verses...... in comparisons to Jay's 15, with 4 of them being released in the "everything going Platinum (Yes, even you Foxy Brown)" era......

I'm a fan of Jay, but please stop this BS

And regardless of what people say, the only two legitimate LEGENDS/ICONS IN HIP HOP OUTSIDE OF HIP HOP are Pac, followed by Eminem.

Jay's already started to dry out of the youth's mind with his materialistic shyt (which I love, but it's not a sustainable form of music)....... Can you say the same with Pac......

Many rappers have been shot and killed, but where are they album sales numbers...?

Saying that 2Pac sold records because he died is LUDICROUS...

2Pac was only active for 5 years...Let us put it in perspective, Kanye West has been active for 10 years...Twice as long as 2Pac..

This is US sales only. And even worldwide 50 cent has not sold 30 million (12 for get rich, 10 for massacre, 3 for Curtis, less than 1 for BISD)...he still has 4 million to go

2Pac at some point was a local artist...But in 5 short years, dude was able to elevate himself to GOAT status in hip hop...

Think about this way, by the time a kid goes to college and graduates, 2Pac became arguably the best to ever do it in his profession...

THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF NEGATIVE RATIONALIZATION that can take that away from 2Pac...

All the excuses are just MORE proof to why 2Pac is GOAT status...

BUT, he didn't sell all those albums strictly because of his death..... How much did the Lost Boyz make when Freaky Tah died, Big L, Big Pun, Left Eye, AAliyah, Mazaradi Fox.. I could go on??? His talent and name helped him sell those albums.. His name rings bells

And your comparing Michael Jackson???? The biggest name is music???? How much did Johnny Cash make???
