I rather see it in the past in either the 60s 70s or 80s. They already established people are cool with super powered beings so from the discrimination angle I think the past works better. Either way I'm curious how they are going to incorporate the mutants in the modern day MCU. The Fox X series focus to much on the superhero aspect I felt and not enough on the discrimination

Something I posted in another thread on the topic for someone who didn't get why the public would be 'cool' with The Avengers but have problems with mutants and how/when they'll be properly introduced.

The Avengers are a mainstream, well known outfit who are mostly human's who have been enhanced or transformed by science and technology. The main ones are public figures and even government operatives at this point in the story and the only one who really has a secret identity is Peter.

:francis:

The two Avengers who are the least human also happen to be the most hated/feared...especially Wanda who is doing shyt beyond the realm of some fancy gadgets or potions. They don't even know she's a mutant yet and are already shook of her, how you think they gonna react when they find out there are people like her BORN that way...HIDING who they are, what they're capable of and what their moral compass is like?

Being that Wanda's powers are already tied to the infinity stones, anybody on the planet who had X-Genes lying dormant could have been activated by the snaps. The mutants in the comics stay on the low for a reason...the ones that could already exist will be finding it increasingly harder to stay hidden as news stories come out about people being 'blipped' back to reality with newly acquired talents that they can't control.

I'm assuming the WandaVision TV show on Disney + will do some sort of variation of House of M to click everything into place, she's going to be the key to integrating the X-men into the MCU.

Low key, WandaVision is going to be the illest shyt in Phase 4 of the MCU lol, and regardless of how you wanna slice and dice the timelines, I don't think you can start a new X-men franchise with 80+ year old Mags/X.

Yeah because no one STOOD UP FOR MUTANTS when shyt got buck wild. Magneto is not some indiscriminate killer like Sabretooth, Apocalypse, or Carnage. I see you're the one not reading the comics, watching anything Magneto related.
Bruh do u know the meaning of a terrorist?:russ:
Apocalypse ain't a psychopath like Sabretooth or Carnage but he'll kill some mutants and flat scans too

But yeah Magneto is a villain for a reason

Mags helped install fear with his "brotherhood of evil mutants". the fear was there, but that shyt helped kick it into overdrive. Doesnt help he was kicking the "make way for homo superior" notes as well.

He didnt instill nothing...they labeled him a mutie as he was hunting Nazis. That's where he even came up with the thought process to fight.

Apocalypse is way worse. He would commit genocide in a second to run the planet. There are like 10 fukking realities of him proving such.

Actual Black Characters so their legacy is built upon for 50 more years in movies and comics >>>>> Hoping to get a pat on the back for changing a white guy's skin

That's actually not true. Same with that rumor that the fictional BP was based on the group.

Ya'll have to stop with this "You're white, you're wrong." shyt its corny.

Here's Stan Lee himself;

Were you aware that Professor X is more like MLK, and Magneto is more like Malcom X? Was that a conscious projection there?

I think it was certainly an unconscious feeling, yeah. And I never felt Magneto was a hundred percent bad. I mean, there were reasons why he felt that way, but it was just up to Professor X to find some way to make him understand that he was on the wrong track.

And the whole civil rights metaphor that ended up being the defining metaphor of the X-Men, did that come along in the first few issues?

It came along the minute I thought of the X-Men and Professor X. I realized that I had that metaphor, which was great. It was given to me as a gift. Cause it made the stories more than just a good guy fighting a bad guy.

You probably didn’t go into Martin Goodman and say, ‘Hey, I have a great metaphor for civil rights here.’ You said, ‘The kids are gonna love this.’
He wouldn’t have liked it, and he probably wouldn’t have understood it.

I don't understand why black people aren't more offended by this.

RiRi Williams was literally created to capitalize off of #BLM

Her name is Rihanna

She's from Chicago

Her friend was killed in gun violence

And all they did was make her "Black Magic Ironman"

He is wrong about Claremont's X-men NOT being an allegory for race and racial justice ("SJW-izm").

From the start Nightcrawler was about appearances vs character. Same with Wolverine and Colosus.
Then later on we have classic speeches about the matter such as Kitty vs. crowd when protecting Nightcrawler which is clearly about race.

And Jericho better not be no punk used to big up Dr Strange either.

His breh got his kufi popped in the first one, I expect him to want some smoke with Strange lol

With that said, I'd rather Denzel or Will Smith play Blue Marvel (ppl can google who that is, it's ok:troll:)

Since Hancock wasn't the movie we deserved

I been trying to think about how/where they could introduce him.

Technically he's a mutate...maybe retcon in him into a mutant and have him slide in with the X-men in phase 5?
