As for double Hip Hop albums, All Eyez On Me is 1A and then Underground Kingz is 1B

2Pac's All Eyez On Me is the standard when it comes to double Hip Hop albums. He set the bar for that sh*t and knocked it out of the ballpark too.

I'd say UGK's Underground Kingz double album is like the sister to 2pac's brother All Eyez On Me album. UGK came back and did their thing on that album. And who would've thought that two cats who had been in the game already so long could come back and release not only one great disc but TWO! :what::damn:

Both of these albums have something from everybody on them and all of these brothers songwriting and production was excellent. :wow:

I'm a fan of that album as well but nah. LAD is a very good album but it's not great like AEOM or Underground Kingz is. Both of those albums have many more :damn: moments than LAD does.

It goes like this for me in terms of the best double Hip Hop albums:

AEOM >>>>>>> Underground Kingz >>>>>>>>> Wu-tang Forever >>>>>>>> LAD

I may need to listen to that UGK again. I don't remember thinking it was anywhere near classic when it dropped.

LAD was the best for me.

AEOM is an undisputed classic. I can't think of an album with a longer shelf life (I was in CA when it dropped and the 18 months thereafter when it seemed that was all you heard coming from cars).

Wu-Tang Forever is both a true statement as well as the third best Double Disc. It belongs on tier one with Big and Pac. The second disc is sorely underrated on here.

Anyway - I'm gonna put that UGK on an mp3 CD (along with Albert Einstein and Born Sinner - both of which I'm hoping will be :ohlawd:) and drop my opinion here after I've had a chance to listen again.

If I dont hear mention of Scarface's "My Homies" when talking about classic Hip Hip double CD's, I dont take the convo serious.

agree with AEOM. that album was being bumped for a LONG time after it dropped. a hell of alot of people bought that album twice due to it being stolen or loaned out and lost. :krs:

and swishas and dosha is :wow: as far as intro songs. it set that UGK album up!

LAD is a great double album and has always been debated as the best next to AEOM. 96-97 were some great years :to:

They have classic tracks, but all double albums would be a much better if they were only one disk. :yeshrug:

Honestly, the most consistent from song to song is Killah Priest's Psychic World of Walter Reed. It doesn't have the classic songs that LAD, AEOM, or Wu-Tang Forever has though.

That was a compilation though wasn't it? Face wasn't even on all the songs. That puts it in a different category to me. Also - I remember it being uneven. I bought it - but haven't listened in years.
