20 years would make it since 1998. Ehhhh, idk about that. But I wanna say that in 2018, so much music has come out at such a rapid rate that it’s very easy to find something you like

From ‘99 on this has been a top 3-5 year

Yeah, I ain't a certified head like I use to be 15 plus years ago
I remember those days
Having all the underground music and knowing the newest shyt
Oh well, time moves on and to be honest, it got to a point where that scene stopped and things switched up and I moved on
Nothing stays the same
I check out stuff here and there but not nowhere near how I use too and while I know I haven't heard everything in the last 5 years, I don't feel I've missed out at all

But you have breh.

Believe me.

I’m a couple years older than you and went through the same jaded period.

If you was a head 15 years ago, there’s definitely plenty of shyt being made today that you would rock with.

It's like this, bruh. If the music is good I like, if it ain't, I don't; and it's far more shyt I don't like these days then it is that I do. Simple as that.

He nor the most people on the Coli know anything about the state of hiphop or understand the music coming out.

I only see most people talking about the Twitter trending topics, when there's maad different shyt coming out every week, that people fukk with. But if it's not Drake with his #1s, Migos, Nas, Kendrick, Kanye or any other super big rapper or some old school dude, people don't really talk music anymore. Even Pitchfork hipsters are more knowledgeable and appreciative of all the ones that don't get trending topics or millions of views.

Of course the top 40 songs are generic, that's what the top 40 is and has been for a while. You can't go on youtube and check "Let's see what's happening on hiphop by listening to these 3 songs with 200 million views". If you did that in the 90s you would also get a lot of trash and that's one of the best eras in music, where knowledgeable people controlled the flow of music.

Slash is talking about mainstream rap

He don't know no underground shyt

He's not wrong tho

All the popular shyt sound pretty homogenous

That's not new tho

fukk Slash and his opinion.

I ain’t tryin to hear NONE of that “generic” talk from these old ass Cacs who shytted on the artform when it began, shytted on the artfrom when it reached its peak, and CONTINUE to shyt on the artform now thats its overtaken your long gay ass stringy hair and overrated metal guitar riffs.

Real shyt. That half cac would've said this same shyt back in 1993.
