I mean mad white people go to Hornets games even though they suck so it can’t be whats in the op. I just know I can’t stand the current product myself also it’s not easily accessible… hopefully that’ll change soon with the nba going to nbc. Networks need to have basketball games competing on networks again like how the nfl does it. People aren’t signing up for cable anymore and now you have people frowning on streaming, especially with shyt like when Netflix tried to stream that Tyson-Paul fight. I know people feel like streaming is best, but there are mad people out here that don’t have it. The nba need to do what they can to reach everybody that they can.
Okay after reading this people need to stfu. Mfs had me believing the NBA was averaging 4 and 5 million viewers a year in the regular season back in the old days. This adds context to everything.
Jordan is still a regular part of the basketball convo. His commercials and coverage dwarfed everybody in his time. Between Kobe, Shaq, Steph, Wade, now Ant and Ja there has been plenty of focus elsewhere. Bron just aint Jordan on or off the court and fans aint what they used to be either.
And to OPs point, as this election cycle showed MAGA and "real nikkas" aint too far apart. As @NYC Rebel says, racism aint a deal breaker for some of these dudes.
