As a white man, what can I do to help stop black inequality?

What you can do is shed light on racism you see that is invisible or hidden from us. It can be difficult for us to identify who is a white supremacist and who isn't because of how differently whites act (and really, how they speak) around each other versus how they conduct themselves around us.
From a personal POV the white people I've had the most respect for in my life have been the ones who would let me know what kind of things they hear from racist whites that conduct themselves 'normally' around us.

I said teaching them skills to reach independence, ie. Mechanics, fishing,etc. Not history which is what I'm sure you're thinking of.
Even so, I don't want someone who has a negative perspective of black people and especially of the black youth trying to mentor them. Which is why the "nothing" suggestion is the best option.
Besides there are already black organizations that provide those same lessons.
What black organizations provide that?
I'm waiting for feedback. I'm kind of fed up with the cac cac cac brigade talking with no resolutions. Rather a black kid not learn at all than let him learn from a white man. Ignorance. Hope you get back to me with these black organizations doing what I said.

Irish people in Ireland are cool, but Irish descendants in America are no different than the rest of American cacs and probably more openly racist especially in the northeast east of the country.

What black organizations provide that?
For one, the numerous churches around the neighborhoods provide mentoring programs from black males. I participated in one of those and helped people with tutoring and college applications.
You think white people really care about us? Doesn't Sean Penn help out Haiti and other poor black countries but still make white supremacist comments? People like that would be better off not doing anything at all.
