you talking greasy as fukk.
Sorry if you feel that way, I'm really not though, I just don't understand what you are trying to type and what point you are trying to get across.
You type one thing, I respond and then you seem to go off on another tangent.

Yeah, you made the claim that Star Trek isn't geared towards movies, I disagreed, and pointed to you that Wrath of Khan is a better movie than any Star Wars movie I've seen. This refutes your point of it not being a geared towards movies, it most definitely can be, if there is good writing involved and direction, seen in Wrath of Khan, ST4, and Undiscovered Country.

Homie that’s two movies out of a series. And I said it’s better for tv and not as suitable as Star Wars which is true. Star Trek works better on tv always has and always will. Does that mean you can’t get great movies? No. Which I never said or implied so If you feel that way that’s on you. What I said was it’s not built for movies which it isn’t. It’s built for longform storytelling where characters can be on screen talking talking and talking some more while addressing important shyt. Star Wars doesn’t have that problem

When I was growing up I saw star wars was for nerds and star trek was for the nerd nerds. I sort of grew up with star wars but was never a hard core fan but I could never for the life of me, be entertained by star trek. That shyt would come on late at night and I would be like, yep time for bed. The newer ones I can't even get into to.

So for me star wars is better. :manny:
Discovery would be more your style

I dont know... I was into certain Star Trek shows. I liked TNG and Voyager mainly because of the ships, technology, the idea of being on a fleet that specifically is geared for space exploration, etc.

It's something that I personally wish I could do if I was around during that period

Star Wars was entertaining but mainly because of the force, Jedis, Vader, the action, etc.

I like the recent installations of both series though and as I've got older I actually get more into the stories and the connections between the movies, series, etc.

I specifically like ALL of the newer Star Trek series (the movies and discovery) and liked Rogue one a lot

But if you liked Star Trek you were probably a super nerd and highly intelligent as well

Thats 3 movies actually, and when they hit they are better movies than Star Wars in terms of characters, plotting, and acting.
I'm not even counting the sub-par relauch movies either.

So when you say Star Trek isn't fit for movies, it just isn't true to me, it might be different types of movies, than a sfx spectacle, but its built for the movie experience just like Star Wars.

I agree with you, if you wanted more substance you probably gravitated to Trek, if you liked action and adventure you probably leaned towards Star Wars.
I think Babylon 5 and Space:Above and Beyond are criminally under rated sci-fi properties. But JMS did Babylon 5 so its understandable why its probabl the best written of all the series.

Yeah I wasn't a huge nerd of either but I know I was a star trek fan as a kid and was probably the only kid I know into that shyt in my hood. Mainly because we didn't have cable and star trek was always on

My aunt was the only woman I know who were into Star Trek as well... VERY into them (no cosplay shyt or nothing but she watched it)

I actually had Star Trek toys, ships, phasers, all that stuff as a kid.

Star Trek was just mainly in depth substance while Star Wars was just action, wars, fighting, etc.

In what way? What you taking science fiction and Futurism into seperate lanes. StarWars is Futurism. Its basically the world we have now extrapolated into hundreds of years later.

I mean lucas himself said star wars isn't sci-fi.

real quick, and this is just my opinion, huge Star Wars fan, it appeal attracts children and young people easier due to the fantasy and action. Star Wars actually tells stories that are parallel to the reality/world we currently live in and past times. Star Trek to me takes a different understanding. Its more metaphysical. DS9 is my shyt. :banderas:

both are much more complex than the average viewer sees it
