I always rocked wit nikkas like Banks and Fab and Gza and Ghost face, and Scarface, and Canivus and ect.

But when Young Jeezy hit the scene, that shyt was legendary. I was always a fan of prime 50, so that grimey hustler shyt always got me rocking. That deep and dark NY lyricism probably ended its peak around that time, but dudes like Jeezy and TI filled that gap perfectly imo.

IDGAF what any nikka says, Jeezy was creative and clever with his trap music, and I don't think that shyt was ever topped in that style. I also think Jeezy, TI, and Young Buck was the best shyt coming out of the South. Everything was energetic and got your body rocking , with each artist presenting a different style.

Even with the differences, I think that period of music was legendary.

From your hood, what was the vibe?

Jeezy is endlessly unquotable in terms of lyricism. He simply sucks.
Hell naw my dawg. shyt ain't gotta be super lyrical to be enjoyable, you listen to shut like Mr 17.5 or What you talking bout "living my life, and imma get it all, no matter the price

"When I did it you know I done it the best, sit back and just hold your breath"

nikka that song alone was lifetime motivation

Come on dawg. Ain't nothing about this shyt here that's wack. It's plenty of wack nikkas like Rich Homie Quan or them trash ass Migos nikkas. You blowed as hell bro.

I cosign everything you said verbatim. All of that was the exact feelings Jeezy brought, but the other reasons he probably resonated with you in that way, going by your rep on the forum here, is cause the "language" he used and the way he used could only be used by somebody who lived it.....those of us who have know what it is.....that shyt was autobiographical...........didn't have to be on the same level as he was talkin but it was more than relatable.... :myman:
