yes i am Dominican, most of y'all probably thought i am African American but no actually i am what some people might consider Afro-Dominican. i was raised to embrace both my Dominican and African culture bruhs. i just consider myself a Black male who has some Spanish and a little piece of Taino blood. most of Afro-Dominicans come from the Bakongo people, Mandinka people and Igbo people from Calabar in Nigeria. i just hope y'all realize that not all of us are c00ns and ignorant, that some of us like myself acknowledge our African roots.

:blessed: blessed to have this Melanin and African blood

Very interesting, I thought Dominicans mostly descend from people from around Angola?

Anyways I never brought into the hype that almost all Afro-Dominicans are delusional about what "race" they are. The DR obviously does not have the same racial conscious as the USA.

actually the Bakongo people come from Angola, also the Dem. Republic Of The Congo, and Republic Of Congo

the Bakongo are considered to be a Bantu ethnic group.

Oh okay.

Anyways again I hope this thread debunks the common, but obsessive conscious myth that all Dominicans are "c00ns" here on the Coli.

i don't care if wesley snipes doesn't consider himself black let alone some j. lo

lol, African people are not worried about Dominicans, probably don't know anything of them, yet Black Americans are hurt they don't claim their "African roots". These people are not Africans they have an Island and culture and are their own people. They are not "c00ns" for thinking like that.

I like to think that all Dominicans are c00ns so I'll stick with the "u don't believe anything u just typed, and u're really a self-hating, wannabe white c00n ass, Me-No-Black" angle for now. :ahh:
My comfort zone :blessed:
