This got to be the dumbest thread ever in the Coli history. :what::dahell:

Canadian nikkaz are lost.

My Great Grandfather fought in WW2 on the front line. No he was not a cook or cleaner.

They also put a lot of the black soldiers on the front line.

:whoa:

Please let's not put all Canadians in a box, friend.

I just find it saddening that even when african american men, went to fight for their country ,yet were still deemed inferior to white men who did the same. Seperate units, seriously? We all bleed and die the same. You can also seen the irony, that while the nazi's herding all the undesireables into gas chambers was on a whole other level, basically mass murder on an industrial scale, you had the US condemning that, yet apparently blacks were not fit to share the same water fountains, or sit in the same school rooms as whites.

My Grandad fought in the war, was in the bombers, I always think of him around this time. I remember him telling me, that sometimes he would shyt himself he was so frightened during those raids, at the end of the raid, the ground crew would sometimes have to use a special vacumn cleaner to suck up all the bits of flesh ,bone and entrails if a plane took a hit , and some poor b*stard got caught. War is horrific ,and it's always started by old men, ,the young men who go ,of all sides, left to themselves wouldn't want to kill each other, lookup the christmas armistice when british and german soldiers had a game of football in no mans land. The generals were so scared that the soldiers wouldn't resume killing each other after that. So they made sure artillery shells were pumped into the opposing sides trenches. I remember my grandad telling me that during the war,he was taught to regard german people as subhuman, I suspect because it was pretty obvious what firebombing german cities would do, yet after the war when my grandad was posted to germany to supervise german POW's in labouring, he made good friends with them and their families. To the extent, my dad has a german half sister! He was never too keen on those SS prisoners though, completely brainwashed.

The Russians and english handled hitler.

America only entered the war after japan attacked pearl harbour

D-Day was the turning point during the war in Europe.

And the simple fact that the US gave that work to the Japs and Nazi's is proof that Canadians ain't about shyt.

fukk this thread, world war 2 vets (all races and ethnicities) deserve honor and respect. its not too many of them left, and you would be posting from a concentration camp in Nazi Canada (if the UK fell, y'all would fall by default) if not for their blood. show some respect

2. canada has remembrance day and entered ww2 before america so :camby:,
3. i never grew up in a rich family
Canada entered WW2 before America because American public opinion oscillates between isolationism, and interventionism. As a matter of fact, Woodrow Wilson won his election in 1916 because of his platform that he wouldn't take America into WW1. It just so happened we were in an isolationist stance due in no small part of the casualties we sustained in the Civil War, and then WW1. You act like Canada had a choice in the matter. Your Head of State is the Queen mum, who lives across the pond in London Town. The Head of State has de jure powers over the armed forces in Parliamentary systems (you should know this as a former law student. Maybe I should go to law school in Canada, the curriculum might be less vigorous, what say ye :lupe:?). When she says jump, y'all say how high; when she says on the double, y'all say yes mum. And you, and your parents weren't even born when Canada entered WW2, nor were they citizens. They were in Jamaica singing at the time. That's like me being proud of being black because the Egyptians built the pyramids.

For black Americans reading this, I'm not saying you should give a black WW2, or Korean War vet. a hand job, or suck them off, but you should be cognizant of their contributions to the Civil Rights era, which were instrumental in securing rights that we enjoy today.
