Every time I ask one of yall to apply sound logic to your rhetoric you just start with the deflections, insults and ultimately run away.

Interesting article, the whole buy black movement has a few sound ideas, but has alot of flaws. Racial discrimination in certain industries distrubution wise can lead to unfair results, I saw this firsthand with the beauty supply industry as Koreans discriminated against a friend of mine.
But even with that being said, looking at businesses big or small as main drivers of a cultural revolution that serves as a main driver for black n progress is misguided. Businesses usually don't serve as that type of institution.
I often hear comparisons to Jews and Chinese, but cultural norms cultivated in civic orgs, schools, extended family, and of course at home within the family are more important than some of the institutions often given attention.

I can't tell you how many times Carol's daughter's have reached out to me...even called my azz (yeah, I was dropping loot like you wouldn't believe), asking why I stopped shopping there. And I told them the truth, not they just send me e-mails about their SALES.

The problem is that a lot of Black business owners only seek a Black customer base until they reach a certain 'point'. I've purposefully kept my business and clientele within the confines of an underserved community. But a lot of businesses become successful and then cash out which is not a problem and of it self but when people like Oprah and Magic Johnson who are very much interested in funding medium sized Black businesses do not even get an opportunity to throw their hats in the ring, it speaks to the Stockholm syndrome which has been inflicted on us even at the highest levels.
