On the contrary, I think we need more reviews by the GOAT
@Art Barr. Since we all know how he'd feel about a majority of the newer releases, maybe we can get some Retro Art Barr reviews. But leave
It Was Written alone, cause I've heard enough bashing of that album from both Art and
@Big Mel that could last a lifetime.
reviewing it on first listen actually helped me just write a review.
i wrote more reviews in the previous years because there was material to strike a review.
which soon turned into just me mechanically supplying reviews to pretty much no real indepth real album reviews.
so, i figured might as well try another live rant series actually on music this time for a whole album.
plus, do it with a record with a ton of marketing and significance to it.
plus, will be blindly given good review just because now.
a first listen review from me would get it right there in stream of conscious.
as i heard it all the first time and what i made of it on first listen.
for what i heard and just put it down as it was processing was something i would like to do more.
yet, i don't know if there are this many large legacy series record artist coming out.
who could warrant the type of review.
where it did not fit into just a rehash of whatever is current retread albums.
we all see pretty much coming out like clockwork since autotune is here as well.
dre is a good first time live rant.
for a gateway into my stream of consciousness rants.
the edits i made were just mostly grammar.
or to illustrate the point a bit better.
without sacrificing the original stream of consciousness feel or rant content.
i think i may have done one of these previously with bpiii.
now, that i think about it.
yet, that record did not hold up at all anywhere near this record.
especially when staying current to the legacy of what aftermath is.
whereas jay has no integrity to his own series of records.
which leads bpiii into loyal listener abandoment.
as it delves into a new series of current pop style records.
that are so plastic.
that it was bound to fail from a quality standpoint.
then, did no hold up lyrically on the bar jay has set either.
with compton,....
dre recognized and gave his consumers.
pretty much an anthology record of what aftermath is.
as far as a record making art house, in every modern way.
while only applying it to strategic aftermath series and legacy hit making style templates.
it is an excellent showing sonically.
as far as all time mixed albums in the history of music immediately.
